Fourteen

"Did you just hit me?" I ask her unbelievably. Ngumisi sya at tumango.

"I'll call Jeron!" I hissed under my breath.

"You moron! Sabi mo wag lalapit! I did'nt step towards you. I just hit you, what's your problem with that?" Sigaw nya pabalik at nagmartsa palabas ng opisina ko! "Arg! Kab!"

I calm my senses by touching Erin's ring near to my chest. I keep it as a pendant of my necklace. Sa ganito ko nararamdaman na malapit lang sya sakin. Malapit sa puso ko.

I stare at the recorder and keep it in my drawer. I get my phone instead and save Mika's number. It's strange that i felt warmth right after i save it on my phone. Bagay na nararamdaman ko lang kapag inaalala ko ang mga araw na pinagsaluhan namin ni Erin.

I click the message button and compose a message.

"This is Jett, your client. Wait for the recording file i'll sent in an hour. About the payment, my secretary will arrange it"

I hit sent.

I set the recorder of my phone and record.

It all started that day. That one ordinary day that i never thougth would be the start of this so called love for me. That ordinary day i never thougth i will met the love of my life.

"Jett dont you dare!" Rinig kong sigaw ni Zacheus ng tumakbo ako pagkaparada ng sasakyan at agad na pumasok sa malaking bahay nila tito Pascual. It's friday and we want to spend it here because they have a pool. Jeron, Trouble, Misag will be here too. Pumayag naman si tito Pascual, isa pa ay may bago daw kaming cousin.

"Jett!" Sigaw ni Zacheus sakin. I grin because i know he's afraid now. Lalo pa at narito rin si tita Luna at tito Zac.

Na office lang naman sya dahil sa may ginawa itong kabulastugan sa school. Nalaman ko iyon kaya binlack mail ko sya at sinabing hindi ako magsusumbong basta bilhan nya ako ng remote control airplane. Mas malaki ang allowance nya sakin kaya mas kaya nyang bumili ng laruan.

But he refused. So i would tell his dad.

Magsusumbong na sana ako ng makita kong may pinagkakaguluhan sila. I was surprise because my mom and papa is here too. To my surprise it was a baby girl they are giggling about.

"Hey sweetheart" bati ng mommy at hinalikan ako sa pisngi.

But my attention was focused on the baby girl whose smiling at me. Nakahiga ito sa sofa at nilalaro ni tito Pascual. Her eyes were on me and my heart was beating eratically. I almost panick because i think im having a heart attack but this feels right.

I step towards the baby girl and wiggle her hands. She chuckled and my heart skips a beat now. Trully, love knows no ages. Even a five year old can fall inlove.

"Tito Pascual, san sya galing? Magpapabili din ako kay mommy" i ask innocently as tito Pascual chuckle and wiggle my hair. "She's Erin, she's your new cousin. Princess natin. And she came from tita Irene's tummy"

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa narinig.

"Kinain sya ni tita Irene tapos lumabas sya sa tummy? E di dead na si tita Irene?" Lumakas ang tawanan nila na ipinagtaka ko. Im innocently asking them. Mom make me sit in her lap.

"Jett, when two people are inlove, they make babies. Like tito Pascual and tita Irene. When you grow up, you'll have your own princess and make babies with her too" mommy explain. I dont understand though. Umalis ako sa pagkakakalong ni mommy at lumapit ulit sa baby. She's pretty.

"Tito Pascual.." i wiggle tito Pascual's shirt. "Hmm?" Malambing na sabi nya sakin "what tita Irene eats to have baby Erin? Papakain din natin kay mommy para may baby din kami" i ask innocently and tito Pascual laugh heartily.

"Tell your papa, bought your mom a white cream. You'll have a baby sister if your mommy eat those"

"Pascual!" Sigaw ni mommy na tinawanan ni tito. I dont understand those before. I did not speak back and play baby Erin instead.

Zacheus play with baby Erin too. Wala na sana akong balak magsumbong but Erin giggle when Zacheus play her hands so i got pissed. Hindi ko alam noon na pwede palang makaramdam ng selos ang five year old na bata. So i tell them what Zacheus got to the principal's office because he kiss a girl.

"Tita Luna, Zacheus was on the Principal's Office because he kissed a girl" sumbong ko sa mommy ni Zacheus.

Humalakhak ng tawa ang papa ko at si tito Pascual maging si tito Zac.

"Zacheus Young? Why did you kissed that girl?" Tita Luna shriek.

"Because she calls me gay!" Nagmamaktol na pangangatwiran ng Zacheus.

"You're the kuya, you should be a good example to Jett dapat-"

"Hindi niya malalaman kung 'di siya tsismoso!" Ako naman ang napasimangot dahil tumawa muli ng malakas sila tito. Hindi ako tsismoso, may tenga lang ako.

"What did you say?"

"Loveyou" Zacheus run out.

"Ikaw Jett, you cant kiss a girl like what your kuya did ha?" Mom told me.

"You mean i'll be gay?" Naeeskandalong sigaw ko. Humalakhak na naman si papa at sila tito. "Papa said, real man kiss girls"

"Did i said that?" My papa deffensively asked me when mom glared. Ako naman ang bumungisngis.

"Yes," i crossed arms "you said, real man makes girl scream in bed and-"

"Shut up baby your mommy will kill me" my papa said right after he place his hands on my mouth.

"Mag uusap tayo mamaya papa!" Saway ni mommy bago sya bumaling sakin at nameywang sa harap ko. "No, but you cant kiss a girl if she's too young. Pati ikaw, dapat binata ka na pag humalik ka ng girl" sabi naman ni mommy sakin. I innocently nod my head.

I lean down to baby Erin and kiss her cheek.

"Rinig mo baby? So grow up fast so i could kiss you na sa lips" i whispered.

And that day i knew, i fall inlove with Erin.
