Well, I was waiting for Hailey. I zipped up my luggage bag and placed it next to my bed.

"Hey, thanks for talking to Charlie. I was able to take a shower."

"You're welcome. Charlie kept me company while I packed my bags."

"Bags? You're going somewhere?" Hailey asked.

While walking over to turn the lights off in my bedroom, I quickly responded to Hailey.

"Yea, I'm going to Puerto Rico to film some scenes for the movie," I explained as I started walking back over to my bed to lay down.

"Oh, that's nice," Hailey said as I heard some background noises.

"Do you have any plan for the week since it's Thanksgiving?" I asked as I laid my head against the pillow.

"Um nope none at all. It's just going to be Charlie and me since Avery went back home to see her parents."

"Are you going to see yours?" I asked as I placed one of my arms under my head.

There was an unsettling paused in the conversation, and I had to check my phone to see if the call dropped. After about a couple of seconds, I heard Hailey clear her throat before responding.

"Um, no."

Nodding my head as if she could somehow see me, I decided to change the topic before it settled in an awkward atmosphere.

"Do you have any classes this week?" I asked.

"No, they were kind enough to give us the whole week for ourselves."

"While isn't that nice of them," I said as I chuckled at my statement.

"Totally except my journalist teacher wants us to go out and document something interesting," Hailey said.

"Stressed out?" I asked.

"Kind of, there isn't much to see or anything that has much interested. I guess since many of his students are traveling, he thought it would be a perfect opportunity to go out and document a story," Hailey said as I heard her sigh into the phone.

Without having to say more, a brilliant idea popped into my head more for my comfort than for her project.

"How about you come to Puerto Rico with me, it's a beautiful island that has many things to see."

Once again, there was a pause, and I had to check to make sure she was still there.

"Riley-"

"Please, I don't want to spend Thanksgiving alone," I said, hoping to guilt-trip her into saying yes.

"You have a crew of people you work with; you won't spend it alone," Hailey said. I could picture her rolling her eyes at me by the statement I said.

"Yea, but I don't know them," I said, somewhat whining.

"I don't know, Riley."

"Didn't you once tell me that you wanted to travel and write stories?" I asked as I lightly smiled to myself.

"Yea but-"

"Hailey, please," I said, hearing my voice get somewhat pitchy.

After another long pause, I waited patiently for Hailey to respond.

"Riley, even if I wanted to, I can't offer it."

"Hailey, you won't have to pay; Dan is sending over the private jet. All you have to do is pack some clothes for Charlie and yourself." I said as I started closing my eyes.
