“Any news from him?” Roxy whispered after Victorie was out of sight.
“No…”
“Don’t worry Rose, he’s just busy or something…”
“Right… Hey Albus! Get over here!” I called after my black haired cousin.
“Happy Christmas Rose. I need to talk to you.”
“So I’ve heard”
“Can I listen?”
“Sure Roxy. Let’s go to the yard.” The 3 of us slipped out to the huge backyard and started wondering into the night. “Rose are you going to tell your parents?” Al asked after a while.
“My mum already knows, but I don’t know how to tell my dad.”
“Look Rose, I know Uncle Ron can be a little harsh, but he needs to know if you intend on continuing dating Scorpius.”
“I know Rox, I want to tell him but I don’t know if this is the right time.”
“Well, I suggest you tell him before the New Year’s ball’
“I will”
“I think its time for supper, let’s go back.”
Dinner was normal… As normal as it could be anyway. People laughed, joked, fooled around and were themselves. After it the adults prepared the camp for the kids. They made it warm and cozy. The tents were big and had 4 beds each. Lily, Roxy and I would be sleeping in one, Hugo, Albus, James and Fred in other. Lucy and Louis slept with their parents and Victorie and Teddy had a room on their own. Molly wasn’t there since she was in Egypt doing curse-breaking course (like Uncle Bill).
When the 4 of us girls were in our tent we were all about gossip.
“Oh! Rose, I almost forgot. I had something to tell you right?”
“Yes, I remember you saying it Lil”
“So, I think my parents suspect.”
“About…?”
“You and Malfoy”
“WHAT? How????”
“Calm down! I don’t know how, but one night I eavesdropped one of their conversation and Mom said ‘So what do you think about Malfoy’s son?’ and the Dad said ‘He seems alright, just don’t know if Ron would agree…’”
“Shit! Lily they don’t suspect, they know!”
“No, they are not sure, Mom said after ‘If that’s really true’”
“What will I do?” I said more to myself.
“Yeah Rose, what will you do?” Dom asked.
“She said she will tell him.”
“Really?”
“Uou Rosie, good luck!”
“Thanks guys, that helps…”
“It’s not our fault you decided to date Malfoy…”
“Shut up Dominique”
“Relax Rose, everything will turn out just fine” Roxy said in her sweet voice. Count on Roxy to calm you down.
“Yeah, I guess…”
“Okay, after that depressing conversation, I’m going to sleep.”
