"Oh Noah, I'm so sorry!" Kyra hugged him, feeling her own tears coming. "We will make sure that your dad didn't die in vain."

Noah just nodded in grief, unable to say anything else.

The baby kicked again, and Noah rubbed Kyra's stomach again, bonding with the baby.

Kyra smiled.

Soon after, Threepio was telling the Ewoks about the Rebel Alliance and the Empire, and that they should help fight against them. The Ewoks decided to help, much to everyone's relief.

Kyra sensed that Leia had gone after Luke, and told Noah that she would be right back.

Kyra had come to the bridge and overheard the conversation.

"Leia, do you remember your mother? Your real mother?" Luke asked.

"Just a little bit. She died when I was very young." Leia said.

"What do you remember?"

"Just images, really. Feelings," Leia described. "She was very beautiful...kind but sad. Why are you asking me this?"

"I have no memory of my mother. I never knew her." Luke said sadly.

Kyra felt a twinge of sorrow when she heard Luke and Leia trying to remember the mother they knew next to nothing about. Kyra, out of the three had been told of her mother's story countless times by her grandfather. She listened as Luke revealed that Vader was his father and he had to go and confront him.

"Luke, don't talk that way. You have a power-I don't understand and can never have." Leia said.

"You're wrong, Leia. You have that power too, and in time, you'll learn to use it as I have. The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it, and my sisters have it." Luke explained.

Leia's eyes widened as she looked from Luke to Kyra, the realization dawning on her that she was related to Kyra and Luke. Of course, she knew since Bespin that Kyra and Luke were related, but this hit home.

"Yes, it's you, Leia. And Kyra too," Luke said.

"Believe me, Leia...I was just as shocked as you are now." Kyra said quietly. "We were somehow separated at birth for safety."

"I know...somehow, I've always known." Leia said in shock.

"Then you both know why I have to face him." Luke said.

Kyra and Leia's eyes widened.

"Luke! You can't mean that...!" Kyra trembled. "What if we never see you again?"

"No! Luke, run away! Far away! If he can sense your presence, then leave this place! I wish I could go with you." Leia pleaded.

"No you don't. You two have always been strong." Luke said gently.

"Our father might kill you. And he will kill you. You don't have to do this on your own, Luke!" Kyra embraced him now.

"But why must you confront him?" Leia cried.

"Because there's good in him; I felt it. He won't turn me in to the Emperor. I can bring him back to the good side. I have to try." Luke said before he left to give himself over.

Kyra shuddered in fear. But then she remembered the time when she first learned the truth about her father and the story her late mother told her. Luke was right. There had to be good in him. There just had to be! She went back to the hut, going past Leia and Han, and changed into her senate warrior clothes and took down her Nubian braid, now with renewed determination to help Luke bring their father back to the light.

Noah came in the hut.

"Hey, what's up?" Noah asked.

"I'm going after Luke. He may think he can confront our father alone, but together, I think we may have a chance." Kyra explained.

"A chance at what, redeeming your father? I've seen what he's done, Kyra, and I'm worried that I might lose you and the baby too. I just lost my father, and..." Noah rationalized.

"I know, love. I promise you won't lose me and the baby. Luke and I can do this. You must believe that we will come back alive." Kyra reassured, stroking her husband's curly hair. She kissed him and left.

Noah felt torn. He wanted to believe that his father in law could be changed, but from what he had seen and experienced, Vader was a monster. But Kyra was his youngest daughter and his wife...he started thinking of what his late father did to redeem himself, and then, with renewed resolve to help Kyra and Luke, he left to follow Kyra. He wrote a note to Kris telling her that he loved her and if he didn't make it back, she was to stay with Leia.

Kyra disguised herself as a Dark Jedi, having got there before Luke surrendered. She listened in to the conversation between her father and brother while keeping her shields up.

"The Emperor has been expecting you," Vader said.

"I know, Father." Luke said.

"So, you have accepted the truth." Vader said.

"I've accepted the truth that you were once Anakin Skywalker, my father." Luke said.

"That name no longer has any meaning for me!" Vader snarled.

"It is the name of you true self. You've only forgotten. I know there is good in you. The Emperor hasn't driven it from you fully." Luke retorted.

Kyra under her hood continued to listen and then she left when Luke said sadly, "Then my father is truly dead."

She entered the throne room alone, feeling a very evil presence in the room, and tightened her shields. She knew the Emperor was here and she intended to let him know a bit too late.

The elevator doors hissed and she saw her brother and father coming in. Vader bowed to the very cloaked and sinister person that has been in her last nightmare. The hideous scars he bore nauseated her, and the cold yellow eyes struck fear in her azure eyes, but she knew she couldn't reveal herself. Not yet. She readied herself.
