"What do you even need from here?" I asked, parking the car in the parking lot.

"Just some stuff, I want to cook." He replied, getting out of the car.

"Since when did you start cooking?"

"Since I met Brooklyn, she likes cooking."

"How much do you know about her?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him and getting out of the car.

"Umm, well, she likes drawing, cooking, playing games and is really good with fashion, but other than that, not much."

My eyes widened and I let out a small laugh, "You're ridiculous."

Charlotte got out of the car and followed us inside, Damian walked around all over the place, I don't think he really knows what he's doing.

He needs Brooklyn here to show him around and what to grab, but I honestly wouldn't allow her to be with us. I mean, she's nice and all, but there's two problems with her.

One, she'll annoy us too much

And two, she'll kick me where the sun doesn't shine if I don't accept Amelia.

Besides, Brooklyn might not even accept us, she might just dump Damian and run.

We don't know.

The room was filled with the smell of summery fruits, the ones I love most. The smell was delightful, I just wanted to stay were I was and not move, but I know what's causing this smell and it's annoying me.

Amelia.

She's here.

Why is my Amelia here, I thought she was out with Logan. Maybes she's shopping for stuff with him, I'm sure he's already brought her clothes, a car and other stuff. He's trying to rub the fact that's she's with him in my face, I bet.

He thinks by doing this I'll be jea—

There she is, standing the middle of the aisle, looking at me with a mix of emotions, anger, sadness, jealousy and disgust? She looked hurt and really, really sad to the point where I just wanted to go over and comfort her.

But I can't, not with Charlotte right next to me.

I pulled Charlotte into a hug and rested my head on her shoulder, never taking my eyes of Amelia, I smirked.

"You know I love you Charlotte." I whispered into her ear causing her to giggle.

"Oh, I'm pretty sure I know." She continued to giggle and I kept my eyes on Amelia.

"I love you more than you love me, I bet."

"Uh-ah, I love you way more, you're the alpha after all." She wiggled her finger in my face and I pulled away from her.

There was a loud crash coming from Amelia and that's when I saw the basket on the floor, while her body was frozen.

Charlotte turned around immediately, but I got a quick glance at her face, she had a look that said 'who the hell are you'. She started walking over to Amelia, but I pulled her back, worried that she might start a fight.

"Hey Amelia, what's taking so long?" Logan's familiar voice filled the shop as he walked over to Amelia. He wrapped his arms around her waist and brought her closer to his body causing her to jump a bit at his action.

Oh how I wanted to punch this assholes face in.

Two reasons.

He was a hunter and hunters killed us.

And two, he was holding my Amelia, my mate around her waist.

Logan eventually looked up at me, his look was burning holes through my skin but I had to remain calm, especially because I don't want to scare Amelia.

For some reason that I don't know.

"You should apologise to Amelia, or, you know, reject her." Damian whispered in my ear. He patted me on the back and left without another word.

I let out a loud sigh and pinched my nose, I looked up, straight into Amelia's sad, sad eyes.

"I'm sorry for what I did today, blah, blah, blah, apology excepted?"

She was about to answer but I cut her off, "Good, I hope we never cross paths again."

Well, I apologised and I didn't reject her, I can't even bring myself to reject her, it hurts even thinking about it. But it makes no sense, I hate her but I love her.

I love her.

But I can't tell her.

I turned around and started walking away, Charlotte was right behind me and I could feel the heartache caused from what I said. From the both of us.

We were both hurting.

"Jayce." Logan's firm voice broke the silence surrounding us and it caused me to stop in my path.

"What Logan?" I asked angrily.

I'm honestly not in the mood to be annoyed right now, so much is going on. I hurt Amelia, I flirted with Charlotte in front of Amelia and I repeatedly crushed Amelia's heart.

Everything's happening to Amelia.

Maybe I am a heartless person.

Maybe I should listen to Damian and give her a shot.

But it would just end up in a terrible mess, like it did with my father.

"You're an asshole, how can you be so rude to a girl living a hard life?" Logan yelled as he clenched his fist and walked closer to me.

"First of all I'm not an asshole, and secondly I didn't even know about her life."

Actually, I do know she has a hard life and it makes me sad about it, I could feel myself showing this sadness so I quickly replaced it with my normal face.

The face that shows nothing.

"So, even if you didn't know about her life, you still don't treat her like crap!" Logan yelled in my face.

At this point I could see Amelia in her own place, she wasn't listening to us fight anymore, she looked sad and angry but she just didn't seem she was... with us.

"I've only talked to her twice now, and I the first time I talked to her I was an accidental asshole, ok?"

"She doesn't deserve any of this. It's ridiculous you treat your mate like that."

"Don't call her my mate." I growled and walked right up to his face.

Charlotte was looking up at me, sadness in her eyes. Her beautiful blue eyes were filled with tears, she wiped away her tears and stood by my side.

Great, I made another girl cry within a matter of minutes.

'You really are an asshole aren't you?' Luka said, my wolf Luca, that annoying voice in my head who tells me unnecessary things.

'Shut up Luca.' I growled.

"Or what, what are you going to do if I call Amelia your mate," Logan teased, he's getting on my nerves badly right now, "Mate, mate, mate."

"Enough. I'm with Charlotte."

"No, I'm not stopping until you walk over to your actual mate, then I'll leave, I'll even promise to not hunt your pack."

"I will never be wi—"

I was stopped when Amelia screamed, "Stop!"

And everyone did stop, even the cashiers who were paying no attention to us before. Her cheeks changed to a rosy pink colour and her eyes went wide.

She's full of surprises because of what she did next.

She ran out of the building.

The urge to run out and chase after my crying mate was unbelievably strong, but I held back.

Luca though, he's pissed.

Very pissed.
