I almost spilled my coffee on his whole car. What? I mustn't have heard right? Did he just...no. It's not possible.

"Whoa there," Justin says making a turn into our school, "Don't spill your coffee, it'd cost me to get the car clean."

"You're lying, there's no way he's coming back." I convince myself gripping my coffee tighter.

Justin looks from me to the coffee cup I was holding that looked like it was about to explode. Yeah I'm a piece of work aren't I? "Yeah Cody Davis, he's back."

"No he's not." I protest. Cody Davis is never coming back to this town and he made that very clear especially to me.

"We're here." Justin said pulling up into the parking lot, "Are you coming to my locker? I've got your bag."

"Yeah. I'll come get it." I flashed him a smile, knowing Justin he can read my moods like as easy as he can read a car manual. I jumped out of the car, stretching  my arms out.

"C'mon lets go." Justin says, holding my hand as we walk towards the cream shade building.

"Where's Meg?" I ask intertwining our fingers. His hands are so large yet soft.

"I think she had to hitch a ride with her mom but she'll be here. Don't you have first period with her?" He asks scratching the back of his hair.

I nod. We entered the main building and walked towards west wing where all the senior lockers were placed.

There's really nothing decorative about this school. The halls are a plain silver, the walls are white and the lockers are silver. No wonder we're called the Silver Panthers. Our principals favourite colour must be silver.

We reached Justin's locker and I waited for him to hand me my bag. I don't really need to go back to my locker because I've got all I need in that bag; just my laptop, book and pencil case. That's it.

"Here you go." Justin said turning to give me my black puma bag.

"Thanks." I say taking the bag from him. "Is it okay if I head to class?"

"Yeah sure, we're both in different wings for first so it would make sense if you did."

"Okay bye. I'll see you at lunch at the usual." I lean up to place a kiss on his cheek.

"Yeah bye." He waves and I turn to let go of our hands. Ah I miss the warmth of his hand in mine.

Miss Daryl wasn't in class when I get to first period English. Lucky for me, cause I swear she hates my guts and this is one of the first days in early.

I spot also one of my best friends, Meg, sitting at our usual desk.

"Megster!" I chuckle taking a seat next to her, "How ya doing?"

"Bailster!" She mocks. "I'm doing fine."

I laugh placing my bag down besides the foot of my chair. I met Meg last year when she was new to the school and we immediately clicked. She became part of Justin and I's group and we've been smooth sailing friends since then.

Megan has dirty blonde hair and washed out brown eyes and can you tell I'm jealous that she has freckles. That makes her even cuter.

As for me, I had blonde hair but I dyed it black and I have baby blue eyes. Basic, I know right.

"Guess what?" Megan says acting all giddy now.

"What? You got the iPhone 7?"

"No, one last try."

"You have a long lost twin sister named Patricia?"

"No, what the hell."

"Tell me." I emphasise throwing Ky hands in the air.

"I heard there's this kid coming back to school today. And he's not new here, he went here but left the same time I came here. Apparently he was like one those kids who needed help and stuff. I think his name is-"

"Cody Davis, nice to meet you." The voice I dreaded to hear just spoke.

Oh god he's right behind me.

Lord help me.
