Chapter 23: The Revelation

I step out of the bus making sure that no one sees me while coming out of it and tread towards the college gate which is already opened wide. I enter inside the college campus when I see Shikha standing at the corner and waving to me. I quickly walk upto her.

"Hey Aditi!" she says cheerfully and then all of a sudden, her mood turns off.

"Hi Shikha! What happened?" I ask her.

"I-I am really sorry about yesterday that I couldn't be of any help to you" she answers sadly.

I smile awkwardly. "It's fine. Just forget that" I say and cheer her up by giving her a side hug.

"Are you going to talk to Daksh today?" she questions.

"I will try" I answer. I hope he will listen to me even though there are very less chances.

"Okay" she says and smiles. I too smile back.

"Where is Vaibhav?" I ask her after scanning the ground for a few seconds.

"I don't know. Maybe he will be on his way" answers Shikha and I nod.

"Hello girls" says Vaibhav and joins us.

"Hey! When did you come?" asks Shikha surprisingly.

"Just now, when you both were busy gossiping"

"We were talking about you only" I say and Shikha nods in agreement. "Oh!" exclaims Vaibhav.

And then as I turn around, I see a shiny black Mercedes car entering inside from the college gate. "Daksh has arrived" informs Shikha. "I know. I can see that" I say, still looking at the car.

I observe that he carefully parks the car at his fixed place and comes out of the driving seat. He is wearing a leather black jacket and his glares. I immediately go towards him when I find Aarya coming out from the passenger's seat of his car. My eyes widen in shock and I stop right there.

"Why the hell is she with Daksh?" asks Shikha angrily.

"I don't know" I answer her and keep looking at them.

"I wonder how stupid I was to fall in love with that b*tch" says Vaibhav. I hear him but none of us reply anything. At least he realized his foolishness.

I then see Aarya, holding Daksh's arm and they start coming towards the college's entrance, that is, exactly where I, Shikha and Vaibhav are standing. I scrunch my eyes while looking at them. Why is she holding him this way?

In another minute, Simran joins them and she and Aarya hug each other in a totally girlish way. Aarya then looks straight, probably at me, and grabs Daksh's arm to hold him tighter. She is definitely benefiting the situation.

Daksh removes her hand from his arm and starts saying something. A light smile appears on my face while seeing that. Aarya's defeated face is always worth watching. They are still walking and are almost near to the three of us. Daksh then removes his glares and his eyes meet mine. I guess he didn't see me before when he was walking with Aarya until he came closer.

He looks me from top to bottom and fix his gaze. I am not even blinking. Tears start forming in my eyes but I don't bother to wipe them. He then looks at Shikha and Vaibhav. After seeing him, he gives me a cold stare and rolls his eyes off me.

Aarya stands next to him and smirks while looking at the three of us. "Let's go Daksh" she says to him and holds his hand again while entering inside the college.

I quickly walk upto them and stop them from taking another step. "Daksh, I need to talk to you" I tell him after giving a death glare to Aarya. She rolls her eyes.
