I felt a huge lump form in my throat as I looked past my mom and to Luke. He was leaning his elbows on the counter with his head in his hands, fuck....
"Uh, can we talk more about this later mom?" I asked and she nodded.
"Yeah, I have to go start packing anyways." she replied and then walked back up the stairs to her room.
I scanned the whole room, everyone was silent and drowning in their own thoughts. Not one person had a smile on their face, they were either expressionless or sad.
"Shit..." Jeremy said finally breaking the silence as he stared at the wall.
"This can't be happening right now, we can't leave Shannon." Lyndsey added.
"YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT?" I spit and then covered my mouth as I saw everyone's shocked expressions.
"Damn, sorry." Lyndsey replied quietly and I felt the guilt boil inside of me.
"No, sorry... I know we can't. There has to be a way we can stay." I said, my voice trembling because of the tears I was trying so hard to hold back.
I wasn't ready for this to end, none of us were. I finally got the boy of my dreams and I was finally happy and away from all the drama of my washed up town. But now, I was about to be forced to leave all of that behind to deal with all the shit back home and to leave Luke without knowing if we'd stay together, let alone see each other again.
"Guys, we can try and focus on this later, we'll figure something out I promise. But, we can't sit around acting like someone died." Calum said, and we all knew he was right.
"So, lets go have fun, do something, make the best of today." he added and everyone nodded in agreement.
"Well Mr. I know all the answers, what do you suggest we should do?" Lyndsey asked sassily as she stood in Ashton's arms.
"LETS GO TO DISNEYLAND!" Calum yelled and my eyes lite up.
"CAN WE REALLY?" I basically screamed as I looked at Calum and he nodded happily.
"What do you guys think?" Ashton asked as he looked around at all of us and then down at Lyndsey.
"I'm in, I heard Disneyland has the best turkey legs." Lyndsey and I giggled.
"Then, it's settled, we're going to Disneyland!" Calum said and jumped for a joy as all of us let out a smile.
I let out a little girly squeal as I dashed up to our room to get ready.
I loved Disney so much, and honestly, it was my dream to go there with the boys, and now it was finally happening!
I looked through my suitcase carefully, trying to pick out the perfect outfit, and once I did, I ran into the bathroom to begin getting ready.
After getting ready as fast as I could, which still took me a half hour, I was finally ready (outfit in the comments). I took a quick look in the mirror, loving what I saw for once and then ran down stairs to join everyone.
Everyone was hanging out in the living room, watching T.V. and waiting for me i'm guessing.
"Took you long enough." Michael huffed and got up as I flicked him off.
"Aw you look so cute." Lyndsey commented and I gave her a big cheesy smile as I looked at her outfit choice (outfit in comments.)
"You do too and oh my god you're actually wearing your glasses, it's a miracle!!! !! !" "I'm going to kick you." she responded and I laughed and stepped away, she would have if I didn't do so.
I saw Luke stand up from the recliner and there was still something not right about him.
I made my way over to him and he looked up and gave me a weak smile.
"Hey." he said quietly as he looked down at me.
"Stop being sad, you're making me sad." I responded jokingly, kinda.
"Sorry.... I jus-" "I know, me too." I interrupted, knowing exactly what he was going to say.
"We need to try and forget about that for the time being, we're about to go to one of my favorite places in the world and i'm going with my favorite person." I said as I intertwined my fingers with his and gave him a real smile.
"Favorite person?" he said raising an eyebrow, I could tell my choice of words cheered him up.
"Don't make me take it back." I responded and he chuckled and he kissed my cheek and it began to burn in embarrassment.
"Okay guys, to Disney!" Michael declared and we followed his lead.
We all hopped on the bus and we were on our way.
All the bus ride, we all told our corniest pick up lines, and of course, Lyndsey won by telling us the old "if you were a fruit, you'd be a fineapple."
Whenever she would speak, Michael's eyes would dart over to me. I pretended to ignore him because I was not ready to play match maker, especially not at Disney so he needs to hop off.
My thoughts were put aside as soon as I felt the vehicle stop.
I jumped to my feet and ran to the door, opening it to reveal the bright sun shining over Cinderella's castle.
I sighed in relief, admiring it's beauty before being pulled by Calum and Luke towards the entrance.
