President Authorization

Godpheus reached across the wooden desk to grab the thick wad of his documents and flicked through to find a sketch of the human body. "I've told you that the only way to save our species is to humanise the population?"

"Really, Godpheus. This may be a pressing matter for our society, but we don't need to resort to-"

"If my assumption is correct, Mr President, then our species won't have much time left." He eased the booklet of sketches across the table to face Cambridge.

The President swallowed. "How are you planning to administer this... humanization serum you've created?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck. Godpheus's opaque eyes glinted as he smiled.

"That, Mr President is simple." He pointed outside the window across from him at the conveniently timed storm blowing a gale at the rafters. "Rain. I've constructed a device which converts the molecules from my serum into a H2O compound, which I can insert into a storm cloud." He explained.

Cambridge shifted in his seat. How could he go up against this man when he was obviously correct in assuming doomsday? His plan would work, alright. There was no denying the works of Godpheus Mathews. But it would mean literally shrinking the population just to remove a part of the Laquanian eye. That got him thinking. "Can't we just remove Perinal Rexodus?" He asked quizzically.

"Ahhh, yes. That would in fact prevent this radioactive extinction." Godpheus replied smoothly. "But the question is, do we really want to live blind? Perinal Rexodus is not only the source of fluorescence, but it is more importantly the reason we can see at all. Blinding the population is hardly logical."

"I don't think shrinking everyone would cut it, either. Sure, people don't want to go blind, but shrinking? No one wants to be human sized!" Cambridge retorted, annoyed.

"One step ahead of you, Mr President." Godpheus grinned, his face placid. "The serum I created not only humanises the population but it humanises everything else we need to survive. Houses, vehicles, food, you name it." His voice faltered. "Although, this doesn't work directly on nature, so plants will remain regular sized..."

That didn't even matter, though. Cambridge could see it in Godpheus's eyes. The man had come up with a solution to everything. Provided the species disappearances got to the extreme. There was more to discuss though, and he knew it. Humanising the entire population would work, but what about the humans themselves? The pets.

"The pets will rebel." Cambridge said aloud, frowning. "Excuse my cursing but we treat them like shit as it is. They'd kill us."

"Yes, that I'm aware of." Godpheus sighed. "They are proportionally physically and mentally stronger than we are. I made them that way." The scientist paused uneasily. "Also, my two scientifically created humans, Genesis Adam and Eve... Mind you I haven't told anyone this before but... when I created them, more prominently with Adam, they began developing side effects. Neither of them know this, but their bodies don't completely accept the humanisation, as they are composed of laqunian body features." He exhaled through his teeth. "It's happened before with Adam. Because his body isn't fully human, or Laquanian, then when he's angry or scared, he unleashes this... power."
