22. Together Forever

"Oni my elegant blossom of youth you shine brighter than any star in the sky!"

Before I could even attempt to dodge, Lee was once again sent backwards but this time with a kick to the gut.

"Stay away from my girlfriend!" growled Trunks from beside me. I sent him a side glance the continued to watch as Lee rolled backwards a couple of times before standing up.

Lee was just about to make another dash to me when he was grabbed roughly by his dark hair.

"What the-" he managed to gasp out when he was suddenly punched in the back of the head.

I sent a nod in the direction the newcomers, Neji (who had grabbed Lee) and TenTen (who had delivered the punch) acknowledging their presence.

I could hear Trunks snicker as Lee was dragged away by his two teammates.

"Was that really necessary?" I questioned as I turned to look at him.

"Yes" was his short reply as he began to start walking.

I frowned and walked silently beside him as he led me around the village.

As we were walking along the dirt path of Konoha the low voices of adults talking could be heard and the light chatter of children flowed in the air around us making a small smile grow on my face.

The whistling of the wind tickled my sensitive ears, making my Saiyan senses perk up which allowed me to easily spot a small hooded pitta as it flew gracefully across the sky towards a nest located on a tall bonsai tree.

For some reason, I felt relaxed.

"Sorry," I glanced at Trunks who was looking straight ahead.

"For what?"

A frown appeared on Trunks lips as he stopped walking. I too stopped walking so that I could get a full look at Trunks.

"I'm sorry for being a jerk"

I nodded my head before continuing to walk down the dirt path. Trunks quickly followed so that he was walking beside me at a matching pace,

"You know I wasn't mad" I started. I sent Trunks a side-glance to see if he was listening before continuing.

"Everyone gets jealous, it's natural, especially for a Saiyan so I don't blame you for what you did"

Trunks eyes slightly widened before going back to normal.

"You don't?"

I sent him a warm smile and nodded my head. "I don't."

"So does that mean you get jealous?" questioned Trunks

I quickly replied with a "No" which caused Trunks shoulders to slump slightly in disappointment.

"Well, not today anyways" I answered truly. Trunks quickly straightened up and sent me a cheeky grin.

"Good"

We walked in silence for another 10 minutes until we reached the edge of a forest.

"Trunks?" I raised a questioning eyebrow at the lavender boy beside me.

'Why were we at a forest'

As if knowing what I was going to ask Trunks spoke.

"I want to show you something I found the other day"

I almost punched Trunks in surprise when I suddenly felt him pick me up and carry me bridal style.
