"I'm not okay with this." Lauren continued to argue. Camila chuckled sarcastically.
"I didn't say you had to be okay with it!" Camila sassed, pointing her finger at Lauren.
"I get nervous letting you walk down to the kitchen by yourself. What makes you think I'd be fine with you flying from LA to Miami?" Lauren was starting to raise her voice.
"I didn't ask for your fucking approval. You need to start being more independent. You can't expect me to be there with you every second of the day." Camila cowered, getting nervous at the Lauren's tone of voice.
"Oh my god Camila!" Lauren continued to yell and took a step forward. She had to admit, yelling at Camila made her throat burn like she downed 6 shots of vodka. She hated yelling at the small girl.
Camila took a few steps back and put her hands out in front of her.
"Please." Camila pleaded, feeling tears springing to her eyes. She slowly slid her back down the wall behind her. Maybe if she made herself small, Lauren would forget about her.
"Oh I'm sorry. Am I giving you flashbacks from when your dad hit you? Fuck your daddy issues Camila." Lauren left the room, slamming the door behind her.
Camila widened her eyes in shock. Lauren took the situation of Camila being abused very seriously. She was always very protective. Camila could see pure hatred in Lauren's eyes anytime Camila brought up her father. There would practically be steam coming out of her ears. But now she was basically telling her to get over it.
Camila thought Lauren was blowing this out of proportion. She said some things she can't take back. Just because Camila wanted to visit her family.
A knock on the door startled her out of her thoughts. She stood up and opened the door, coming face to face with Dinah.
It seemed like Dinah was always there at the best times. She could sense Camila needed help or was hurting. And she loved that.
"What's going on? Why was she yelling? She knows it gives you anxiety." Camila could see the protectiveness take over Dinah's features.
"I'm going on a plane tomorrow to Miami. To see sofia. She flipped out on me and it's unfair. It's mean. She's so mean some times. And it was thoughtless." Camila tried her best to stay strong but a tear escaped from her eye. It was immediately wiped away if the pad of Dinah's thumb.
"Lemme tell you something Camila. Real life is sometimes thoughtless. And mean. But that doesn't cancel out the love." Dinah didn't have to say anything else. She knew Dinah was right.
The Polynesian pulled Camila into her side and rubbed her back to soothe her. Camila was forever grateful for Dinah being there to catch her every time she fell.

Lauren laid sprawled out on her bed, with her headphones in her ears and blaring her music. She was deep in thought.
It had been a day since Camila and Lauren got into their fight. It seemed like that's all they did lately. Lauren didn't realize how much she missed Camila until she finally came out of her angry state. She hasn't seen her big, brown eyes in a while. She missed them. No one ever took the time to appreciate brown eyes. Every always preferred green, like her own, or blue. But she thought Camila's eyes were gorgeous. She missed Camila infectious laugh. She missed Camila's smile. Her smile could compel everyone to smile along with her.
It has only been a day, but she hated not talking to Camila. She could listen to Camila talk about anything for hours. Just hearing the sound of Camila's voice made butterflies erupt in her stomach. A single kiss on the cheek would leave lauren flustered. She would go 2 whole weeks without seeing Camila if she didn't see her now.
