I turned to look at Blake who was looking down at me in amusement. “Does your brother think we’re having-?”

“Don’t say it. Please.” I said grimacing.

Blake chuckled, and wrapped his arms around me, “I missed you Skye,” he whispered before he pressed his lips to mine.

His words made me freeze, but the moment his lips touched mine,  I immediately unfroze and my mouth reacted to his.

Unlike our other kisses, this kiss was more rough and demanding. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer. His tongue forced its way into my mouth, making me let out a small moan.

Blake pulled away, a smirk on his face.

“I missed you too.”

The next morning I was awoken by a loud knock on my door.

“Come in!” I shouted, slowly crawling out of bed.

“Hey Skye, you want to come with me to Mac’s house?” Jake asked.

“Er, sure,” I mumbled rubbing my eyes and looking around sleepily. “Let me get dressed I’ll be down in a sec.”

Jake left the room and I made my way over to my wardrobe, grabbing a pair of jeans, a black tank top and my Doc Martens. Quickly, I got dressed and made my way downstairs, where Jake was waiting. “You ready?” he asked.

I nodded, “Yeah lets go.”

Once we were safely driving along in Jake’s Mercedes Benz, I turned to him, “Why are we going to Mac’s?”

“You remember Charlie, right? Mac’s brother?”

I nodded, grinning at the memory of Mac and I teasing his brother, by calling him Fat Charlie. Good times.

“Charlie’s the best Marijuana dealer around here; Marcus usually goes to him for Marijuana, but he was busy today so he asked me to go. I thought I’d ask you to join me,” Jake pulled up in front of a rundown looking apartment building.

“Mac lives here?” I asked curiously, this certainly wasn’t the same two storey house that Mac and I had grown up in.

“Yeah, he had to move after his old house got trashed, during a drive-by shootout,” Jake climbed out of the car.

“Really?”

Jake nodded and I followed him into an elevator, immediately wrinkling up my nose in disgust. It smelt horrible; the smell of stale urine and rotting food was lingering in the air making me feel slightly sick.

“Mac really should consider moving,” I muttered following Jake towards what I assumed was Mac’s apartment.

Jake knocked on the door, and it was opened by a young man, that looked quite familiar, “Charlie?” I asked curiously.

He grinned, “Skye!”

My eyes widened in recognition, Fat Charlie sure wasn’t fat anymore. He was a six foot tall, blonde haired, broad shouldered young man.

“Wow, Charlie! You look...different!” I cried.

Charlie looked me up and down, “You don’t look so bad yourself,”

“I’d watch it if I were you, Skye’s boyfriend tends to get overprotective,” Jake said. I rolled my eyes when I realized who he was referring to.

“Boyfriend?” Charlie raised an eyebrow at me.

“Oh yeah, he’s something all right,” Jake said sarcastically.

“And who might this boyfriend of yours be?” Mac appeared behind Charlie and raised his eyebrows at me.

“Nobody!” I said just as Jake said, “Blake!”

 “Who’s Blake?” Charlie asked.

“Blake Reynolds,” Jake said.

Charlie turned to look at me with an expression of surprise mixed with horror, “You and Blake Reynolds are together???”

“No!” I said at the same time as Jake who said, “Yes!”

I turned and glared at Jake, “Will you just shut up and do what you have to do before I make you regret opening that big mouth of yours?”

Jake rolled his eyes and followed Charlie out the room.

“Skye?” Mac turned to me, “Are you and Blake really together?”

“I don’t know, I guess, sort of...” I trailed off, “Why?”

Mac shrugged, “I’ve just heard some bad things about him.”

I laughed, “Mac, he runs the biggest gang in the world; I’m not surprised that you’ve heard ‘bad things’ about him.”

Mac sighed and ran a hand through his hair, “I know, but I’ve heard things about him that make me worry, about you.”

“You don’t have to worry about me Mac, I can take care of myself, and I’m sure that whatever you’ve heard is nothing more than rumors.”

“Whatever you say Skittle,” Mac looked me dead in the eye, “Just promise me you’ll be careful.”

“Okay, I promise. You don’t need to worry about me,” I gave Mac what I hoped was a reassuring smile.

Jake and Charlie came back in, carrying a large black bin bag, judging by the strong smell that was emanating from it, giving me a rather large headache, I realized what it was. (A/N I have never smelt Marijuana in my life so please excuse me if it is supposed to smell refreshing...)

“Ready to go?”  I asked Jake, eyeing the black bin bag warily.

Jake nodded and said by to the two brothers before going out the door.

“Bye, Charlie!” I grinned at Charlie but ended up giving him a hug. I turned to Mac, “Bye, Mac!”

Mac smiled but as I turned around he stopped me, “Remember what I told you, okay? Be careful,” was all he said before he ushered me out the door.
