"O-okay." She said. The two of them then continued walking. "Um, can I ask you something?" She asked.
"Hm? What is it?" He asked back.
"Um, why did you invite me to go out today?" She asked shyly, blushing.
"W-why not?" He said. "Sorry, I can't tell you yet." He thought. "Um, don't you want to spend time with me on a day off from work?"
"Ah, no, it's not what I mean." She responded quickly. "B-by the way, we haven't receive any missions yet."
"O-oh." He murmured. "Let's just take advantage of the time we have then." He said as he looked around on where to go. "Ah let's go there!" He pointed at the Haunted Mansion attraction.
"Eh, that's scary..." She said hesitantly.
"It will be fun! Hahaha. We will be riding in a cart there, so no one will run after us." He tried to remove her fear.
"But that's what makes it scarier... They can join us anytime..." She rebutted. But her feet agreed to walk with him towards the attraction. They rode the cart together. When it started moving, she clenched on his sleeve. He looked at her on his side and chuckled.
"I remember the haunted house challenge we had at Kizuna Gasshuku 2." He said. "You and Hidaka were really scared. Hahaha." He laughed. Chiaki was just silent, not really paying attention to what he said. Ghosts then started to appear in front of them. "Whoa! Awesome! Hahaha." He then noticed that her hold on his sleeve was getting tighter and tighter. He looked at her and found her with her eyes shut tightly as well. "Haha, are you alright? They're not really that scary." He said.
"But they still scare me..." She rebutted as she buried her face on his shoulder.
"Hahaha, you're really cute." He murmured, blushing. He wrapped his arms around her to assure her some form of security. Then he suddenly felt that her hands also embraced him. "Oi, don't take advantage of the situation too much! Hahaha." He teased, blushing. Chiaki suddenly pulled herself from him.
"W-what are you saying?!" She exclaimed, hitting him on his arm.
"Hahaha! Why are you hitting me?" He chuckled as he used his other hand to shield his arm. A ghost then suddenly rode their cart and sat beside Chiaki.
"Ah!!!" She covered her face in too much fear and pushed herself as close as possible to Shuta. She couldn't help herself from stomping her feet to release some tension.
"Hahahaha!" Shuta kept on laughing at her. He wrapped his arms around her again as a sign of protection. He then continued enjoying the attraction alone, at the same time enjoying his closeness to her. They stayed in that position until their ride was over. The cart's speed suddenly started to slow down, and just a few moments after, it finally stopped moving. Chiaki slowly opened her eyes when she felt Shuta's arms released her from the embrace.
"Is it over?" She asked in a low voice. She moved away from him and wiped some drops of sweat on her face.
"Hahahaha! You're really funny." He teased. She pouted her lips. He patted her head and then stood up. He alighted the cart and offered his hand to help her alight as well. The two of them then exited the area.
"Ah... that one was too much for a start. Hahaha." She said as they continued to walk around the park.
"Hahaha, what are you saying? It was a good start!" He contradicted. He then held her hand and started swaying it for a while. "So where do you want to go next?" He asked.
"Hm..." She thought as she looked around them. "Ah, let's ride Big Thunder Mountain next!" She suggested as she pointed at the attraction. Shuta looked at the direction where she was pointing at.
