Sorting Ceremony

"Oh, you may not think I'm pretty,

But don't judge on what you see,  

I'll eat myself if you can find A smarter hat than me.

You can keep your bowlers black,

Your top hats sleek and tall,

For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat And I can cap them all.

There's nothing hidden in your head The Sorting Hat can't see,

So try me on and I will tell you Where you ought to be.

You might belong in Gryffindor, Where dwell the brave at heart,

Their daring, nerve, and chivalry Set Gryffindors apart;

You might belong in Hufflepuff,

Where they are just and loyal,

Those patient Hufflepuffis are true And unafraid of toil;

Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw, if you've a ready mind,

Where those of wit and learning,

Will always find their kind;

Or perhaps in Slytherin You'll make your real friends,

Those cunning folk use any means

To achieve their ends.

So put me on!

Don't be afraid!

And don't get in a flap!

You're in safe hands (though I have none) For I'm a Thinking Cap!"  

Everyone clapped and so did I."When I call your name, you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be sorted," she said. "Abbott, Hannah!" I could see her walking to the hat nervously.   "HUFFLEPUFF!" Shouted the hat and I could hear clapping from the Hufflepuff table. My insides were turning since I knew I was gong to be next.   "Angel, Lucy." Said Professor McGonagall. I walked quite straight to say I was calm but really I was nervous. I sat on the stool and the hat was put on me.   "Well, it seems like another Angel. But wait you aren't like your parents. No. This is difficult. Where to out you? You have great wisdom so you will be good in Ravenclaw, You are brave so Gryffindor and very loyal so Huffelpuff would be good. How about this then. You choose since you are equal to all three of them." I breathed in.   "Gryffindor." I whispered quietly.   "GRYFFINDOR!" shouted the hat and the Gryffindor table clapped and I walked over to sit in with two empty sits next to me.                                            ***Time Skip***

"Granger, Hermione." I could see the girl I was talking to sit on the stool.   "GRYFFINDOR!" All the Gryffindor table clapped and so did I. She walked over to the table and sat next to me and we both smiled.                                            ***Time Skip Again***  

"Malfoy, Draco." I perked my head up and saw him. He looked at me smugly and in m head he had changed from the train trip.   "SLYTHERIN!" When the had shouted that my yummy turned. The Slytherin table clapped.                                           ***Time Skip Again (Sorry for all the Time Skip)***   "Potter, Harry" she said and my head looked up and I could hearing whispers everywhere. Then suddenly it all quiet down.   "GRYFFINDOR!" Said the hat and all the Gryffindor table stood up and cheered. Harry sat down next to Ron and he looked at me. His deep green eyes were like they were looking inside me and I smiled and so did he.                                                                                                      Harry's POV  

I sat down next to Ron and the person who was in front of me was Lucy Angel and the first time I saw was I was in love. Her hazel eyes were so bright and pretty and it fit perfectly with her brown hair. I looked away and to stare at my food and I realised how hungry I became.   "Welcome. Welcome to a new year in Hogwarts. Before we begin our banquet, I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Thank you. And then he sat back down and people were clapping and couldn't think to smile or laugh. I also noticed that he was looked at me happily. I then looked at the table to see the rest of the teacher and I saw a person with jet black hair looking t me surprisingly. I just looked away. Suddenly I saw food appearing and I could feel my mouth watering. I took anything I could grab and ate it.                                                                               

                                                                                                     Lucy's POV  

I saw how Harry was eating his food and I just laughed.   "Hey Hermione, do you think this is amazing." I said and she looked at me and nodded. We were still chatting and I could feel two people looing at me intensely and I guessed it was Draco and Harry. I just shrugged it off and kept on talking and eating.                                                                          ***Time Skip***  

After all the food the person who was talking before stood up and made us chant the School chant and I just mined it through. After all that that fun we got showed to where our room was. I saw a ghost and he looked mischievous.   "Peeves," Percy whispered to the first years. "A poltergeist." He raised his voice. "Do you want me to go to the Bloody Baron?" And Peeves shook his head and just stormed off. We continued to walk to out common room when I saw the stair case.   "The stairs like to move about on there own so be careful." said Percy and I nodded. We finally stopped and saw a painting with a fat lady with a silky dress.   "Password?" She asked.   "Caput Draconis," said Percy, and the portrait swung forward to reveal a round hole in the wall. They all scrambled through it and found themselves in the Gryffindor common room, a cozy, round room full of squashy armchairs. Percy directed us to where the boys' room were and where the girls' room were. Me and Hermione walked together and we had room together with some other girls. This was an amazing day ever and I was very tired. I got changed into my PJs and going to sleep. I went to my bed and tucked myself in and slept.
