I push myself away from that wall and walk to the classroom, not giving Tonight time to respond. I'm pretty sure I look angry as hell, because everyone in the room stares at me with a face full of fear.

"Brendon, nice to see you again, is everything okay?"

"Nice to see you too, Mrs. Brown. And yeah, I'm fine, I just ran into an ex of mine."

She nods, not asking any further and I take a seat next to Alex.

We're the second group to perform. It feels weird, being back here in this room, performing a self-written song. Last time I did this was... Well, with Ryan. We played this song was called "Do You Know What I'm Seeing?". Uhn, I'm getting nostalgic. I need to stop thinking about that.

Alex looks at me, clearly wanting some back-up. I nod and give her a wink.

We start to play and honestly, it's amazing! We didn't miss a note, it went even smoother than last night. Alex loosened up during the song and towards the end, I could see she was really enjoying it.

She smiles at me and I hug her, while walking off the little "stage" they set up for this.
"That was amazing" She whispers.
"I know" I reply and we take a seat.

Watching the others play was fun, but none of the piano players were as good as Alex. She's just amazing.

I'm currently sitting on my couch, alone, waiting for Dallon to arrive. I asked Alex to stay, so we could celebrate how smooth it all went, but she had something planned with her parents, she said.

As I open the front door to let Dallon in, I see a car stopping in front of Alex' house. And it's not the car of one of her parents. It's Tonight's. Did Alex lie to me? Has she planned something with Tonight? I keep looking, 'till I see Alex walking towards the car and getting in the passenger seat. No fucking way... I quickly turn around and close the door as I see the car pulling up.

"Bud, you okay?" Dallon asks, a bag of chips in his hands.

"No, Dal, I'm not. Alex lied to me. She told me she planned something with her parents, and now I see her getting into Tonight's car. I'll talk about this with her tomorrow, when I drive her to school."

He shakes his head. "Don't tell her you saw that. Just ask a few questions about the evening with her parents. She can't make up a whole story in a few seconds. If she can, then tell me, and I'll go pick her back up and tell I saw her."

"Why-"

"Because I don't freak out when I hear Tonight's name!"

"She's a slut, and you know it."

"So were you. Now listen. I know your relationship with Tonight isn't what we call "good", but please, calm your shit. Freaking out is not going to help you."

"You're right, Dal... Thank you."

"You're welcome. Now, could you grab me a glass of milk, please?"

"You have legs and know where the kitchen is."

"Please, Bren. For me? Your lord and savior?"

I go into the kitchen and grab Dallon's requested glass of milk, and take a beer for myself.

Saved by the bell, they often say. While for me, it was quite the opposite. I am lying on the floor, next to my couch. On the couch I see Dallon, turning around, he clearly heard the bell as well. I'm still in the same clothes as yesterday and my head hurts like hell. While I walk to the door, I step over a few beer bottles. A lot, actually. Well, that explains the headache. I don't remember much from last night. I'll ask Dallon what happened, he doesn't drink as much as I do.
