Neji, for some reason didn't like to pick left nor right for it doesn't really make any connection to his humanity. He wanted something unique. He wanted something that makes him who he is.

“The middle, I want the middle.”

The voice exhaled,“So be it.”

“Paddle.” commanded the voice.

Neji scrunched his eyebrows. This voice is supposed to be Kami, right? Then why is He or She letting Neji paddle on a crystal clear stream? Can't He or She send Neji where he wants in just a snap?

Neji stared at the broken rowboat. It's wooden planks are starting to get loose and the paddle itself doesn't look pretty. In short, Neji didn't like it.

“Oh are you reluctant?” hummed the voice,“Are you questioning my will?!”

The waters in the stream started to boil and Neji pitied the poor and dying rowboat. Groaning were starting to be heard by his ears. The groaning were from the damned spirits underneath the stream. They served as the land wherein water sat on.

Neji tried to glare at the invisible presence that was annoying him. He didn't want this deity messing with his new destiny. Instead of grumbling, he walked to the shore which was glass and sat in the rowboat ad started paddling.

“To my new destiny!”he whispered as he fought the currents of the stream.

The voice called out, “Oh and Hyūga-kun if you fail to reach the end of the stream, you'll end up like my personal janitor fishes!”

Neji held the handle of the paddle so tight. He wanted to smack the deity but no he had to play nice if he wanted to live again.

A cry of a newborn baby, that was what Neji heard. He tried to look for the newborn child but he couldn't. He tried to stand up but he can't. Arms were restraining him.

Am I the newborn baby? Neji thought, Hell no! This can't be.

“Hello, my dear,” a familiar voice said,“Nice to see you.”

Mom?

Neji blinked to adjust his baby eyes to the light. The person that was cradling him in her arms was...Hanabi.

Neji wanted to scream. He wanted to say,"No! You misunderstand!" but coos and giggles came out of his mouth and he hates it.

Hanabi chuckled,“Your cute. Don't worry, Mom'll take care of you, Hikaru-kun.”

Another voice said,“C-Can I hold him?”

The voice was very eager to hold Neji's new form which was a small and frail baby.

Who is he? Neji pondered, Why am I here? Why am I another person?

He was being cradled by a man which is his ‘father’. Whilst getting praises and the usuals ‘Omg, you’re such a cute baby’ and the ‘aw i made you well ’,Neji realized that this is his new destiny. To live in a new body but with the same thoughts of his previous life.
