They ordered their usual and Phoebe didn't wait until Mary, the waitress, left to start talking.
"So, my sweet little friends, tell me all the juicy deets of the last couple of days because I've been too busy organizing prom. Oh! And we need to talk about prom too, you need to help me choose the theme." Phoebe talked excitedly as usual.
"What kind of theme can we have that will make all the girls bring as little clothing as possible and still not violate the dress code?" Leon replied with his brand smirk, and everyone rolled their eyes except for Vivian, who just looked at him with a glare that could possibly kill if you looked at her for too long.
"As if you didn't see half of them already naked, you player." Phoebe joked and took a notebook out of her bag. "I have some ideas already, I just need to know which one is the best."
"Spill." Vivian said getting closer to Phoebe and looking at the notebook upside down, trying to read what was on it.
"I have neon lights, masquerade ball, Hollywood and Paris." And the conversation kept on going. Blake wasn't too interested in something as overrated as prom, so she looked out the window and drowned herself, once again, in her thoughts.
She noticed Eli, who was sitting in front of her, staring at her. This was something normal coming from Eli, he observed his surroundings, talked only when necessary and seemed like he could look at us in the eye and know all of our secrets.
For that reason, Blake tried to keep her distance from him as much as she could without it looking too obvious. She didn't want to figure out if he really could read all her secrets only by observing her or not, it wasn't worth the risk.
Soon enough, Vivian joined the staring contest, letting Phoebe and Leon discuss whatever they had to discuss. Blake kept on looking outside, trying to look like she didn't notice them staring at her and looking at each other from time to time.
One thing everyone knows about Eli and Vivian is that they can look like twins with telepathic skills when it comes to read people. They have conversations only by looking at each other and seem to understand what the other is thinking.
Every time it happened with Blake, she knew what was going to happen next, and she wasn't thrilled about it.
"Guys! Stop looking bored and help, this is something serious. It needs to be the best prom ever!" Phoebe looked at the three who weren't participating in the conversation, indignant.
"Sorry, been having some trouble focusing with all the crap we need to do." Blake wasn't sorry at all.
"I think Paris should be out of the question, what even will you decorate the room with? An Eiffel tower?" Eli always talked with a poker face, apathy dripping from his voice, but when he talked, it was always something nobody could disagree on.
"Yeah, I think neon lights is the best one. I mean, it's dark, we are teenagers, everything could happen." Leon said raising his eyebrows and smirking once again.
"Do you only talk like an asshole? Can't you talk any other way?" Vivian said frustrated, as she usually is, with what Leon said.
"It's not such a bad idea, I mean, at least we have our privacy, right?" Phoebe said uneasily, awaiting our approval.
"Yeah, but I think we should let the students choose, we could do an online poll." Vivian took the notebook from Phoebe and wrote something down, giving it back to Phoebe then.
