Secrets Within

Chapter 5

Leaving me and the general. He did seem uneasy but not afraid to attack to me in any minute. He pointed his staff at me, like if it was a weapon. I smirked, before slowly walking towards him.

"I guess I save the best for last..." I chuckled, earning a glare from the serpentine.

Causing the trees where the ninjas stood on, to fall near the serpentine. Whom were on the ground, shocked by the wave by the Overlord. The trees nearly fell on some serpentines, if the ninjas didn't used their elements to stop the trees. But they lived, they were harmed however. Only a few scratches and small cuts.

Nya and Jay bolted to the Overlord with their elements out, ready to attack. Kai followed his sister's movement. Running beside Jay and Nya with his element out as well. With Nya throwing her water element towards the Overlord, Jay send a lighting bolt towards him as well. Hardly dodging the electric water attack, the Overlord almost walked into some fire. Thrown by Kai. The Overlord fell but quickly got up without any hesitation. The trio attempted to get closer, but they stopped to watch the Overlord for a moment.

The door opened to the entrance of the fangpyre tomb with Hidden running out and the fangpyre staff in his hand. The ninjas attempted to jump on him, but he used his elemental staff to freeze the floor. The ninjas slipped, as well did the serpentine that were chasing. Hidden whistled for me to grab the staff from him as he jumped to my location. And I saw ninjas getting up and smirked.

"Overlord hasn't returned yet, but I have an idea for a distraction. But you need to use your staff again...." I said to him.

"Alright. What's your plan?"

"Just follow my lead, like I did for you..." I smirked.

Nya's POV:

Riding with Kai on his elemental dragon while Lloyd was riding on his dragon. We were chasing the Overlord but he was really far ahead. How fast is his dragon?

We attempted to follow him to the fangpyre tomb, however the Overlord hid immediately after he summoned his dragon. In mid air, too. As we turned to see if Jay, Cole or Zane were fighting Hidden or the white thief we saw earlier. Only to see them standing in the tree next to us.

*3rd person POV*

The Overlord was getting overwhelmed with serpentine surrounding him, while Hidden was somewhere else. The Overlord continued to look around. Even though he knew Hidden was nowhere to be found. Punching the earth under the feet of the serpentine, a powerful wave like earthquake shook everyone nearby. Even the Overlord.

The Overlord held up his hand, palm up, to his mouth before he blew it towards the trio. A small gust of wind appeared with dark purple petals and some small leaves. Once the petals flew towards Nya, flowers sprouted around and they were fully bloomed. Releasing purple dust that flew up.

Inhaling the dust by accident, Nya started coughing violently. It only gotten worse as Kai immediately tried comforting his sister. Allowing the Overlord to escape. Kai picked up Nya and carried her to the other ninjas, leaving Jay to follow the Overlord. Jay was about to hit the Overlord with more lighting, but a staff was thrown into his face. Forcing him to fall with the fangpyre staff beside him. Lloyd and Zane rushed over to Jay, giving the staff to the serpentine before heading back to their home. However, once they got home Kai fell to the floor.

He started coughing like Nya had before she had fainted. Taking three injured and ill ninjas to a room, giving each one first-aid.

*short time skip*

Hidden's POV:

Once we landed, I looked at Pythor. Who was holding the globals of venom of each staff. Before I could question him, he turn his attention to the Overlord.

"What was that flower attack?" He questioned.

"It was a simple spell casted to grow some flowers to cause my way to escape," he started and quickly spoke again before Pythor could talk again.

"It's not effective against your kind, if that what was you were wondering."

Pythor nodded and we continued walking to our next location. A prison. Not far from us.
