"That sounds like a good plan. I'm going to stay on the phone for as long as you need me to. You calmed down a little."

"Yes, I feel a bit better. The fact that I'm talking to you right now and that I know security is getting up her helps me a lot. But I just want to be back home right now. I'm completely done."

"I agree with you. I can't wait for you to be back in my arms. And I have to warn you, because I'm going to cuddle you to death tonight."

On the other side Val heard something that made his heart jump with joy, Sharna laughed. It was short and sweet, but the fact that he could make her feel a little better. Knowing she could still laugh, he felt that she would return to her normal self not long after.

"I can't wait for you either. Wait I hear a knock on the door. I'm going there."

"Shall I stay on the phone until you are sure that the security is with you?" Val tried not to worry Sharna more, but he was worried for a second that Pierson was the one knocking on her door.

"Yes,"  was all Sharna said. And Val knew that she was thinking the same thing.

Val was holding his breath as he heard Sharna open the door and only let it go when Sharna said: "Welcome, thank you so much for doing this."

"No problem m'dam."

Val was relieved, finally some good news.

"Text or call me again when you're at the airport, or if you need me before that, don't hesitate."

"I will probably call you. Thank you so much Val, I love you."

"I love you too. And I'm waiting for your call."

Val hung up the phone and put it on the chair next to him. He knew he needed to start driving to Sharna's place, but he was too fed up with everything that has just happened. He wanted to punch something, preferably Pierson. But he knew he had to be ready for Sharna when she called back, and he was preferably home when she would call.

So he started the car and drove home.

At home he went to the kitchen and made himself some dinner, keeping an eye on his phone all the time. He was in the process of making dinner when his phone rang and he saw it was Sharna once again.

"Hey babe, you arrived at the airport?"

"Yes, I did, but I'm a bit too early."

"No problem, that means you won't miss your flight. And I'll get to see you earlier."

"I can't wait to get back. This trip was a disaster."

"Well, I thought that your interview on GMA was pretty good. So..."

"Okay, but apart from that. I had to miss you for a full day and all I get in return in to spend some time with Bonner, which only fuels our dating rumors. And then I get to spend some lovely minutes with Pierson. What a perfect day."

Val loved Sharna's sarcasm, and the fact that she could use it again, made Val hopeful. It meant that she was probably no longer scared.

"That does indeed sound very good. Wish I got to be there."

"I would have wanted that as well."

There was a silence on the phone, until Sharna said.

"I love you Val. And I really wished you were here."

"There is no place I would have wanted to be, but with you. And I love you too."

"Tell me how your day has been, I need some good news."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I want to hear something happy. So please tell me."

"Okay, well today Normani and I rehearsed our jazz and it's going to be really good. And tomorrow Len will come in and help us with our Judges Dance, which will be the Viennese Waltz for us. I know she will be great at both of them, so I can't wait for Monday."

"I know you will kill it baby. And I will definitely support you through all of it. If you need help, anything you can get, I'll be glad to help."

"Thank you babe. I know I'm going to need your help. Your jazz and waltz choreography is amazing, so the fact that I can use it, will be a plus for me."

Val and Sharna talked on the phone, until Sharna's flight was called. Val could hear that Sharna was a bit nervous about the flight, knowing not being able to talk to Val for some time.

"I'll be waiting for you when you get off that plane. You know that right?"

"Yes, I know."

"Just try to sleep a little, time will pass faster that way. I love you babe."

"I love you too. And I see you soon."

Sharna hung up the phone and Val was sitting alone in his living room. He looked around the room and thought about how Sharna was feeling. He knew that the real reason she was scared, although she didn't say it, was that she was afraid Pierson followed her on the plane. He knew at which hotel she was staying, so it wasn't going to be too difficult to find out when her flight would leave. Val just really hoped that he wasn't on the plane and that Sharna was able to sleep, even if it was just only a little bit.
