CHAPTER TEN

"He does. He knows. He just reacts and regrets."

"That's stupid. Look where that got him!"

Baek smiled at me. "He'll get there. I know him."

I was somehow still worried about him. I wanted to go and see him, but I wasn't allowed. He didn't even call for me. Seeing that there was nothing much I could do, I went back home.

Both Amy and Sophie were waiting for me. I told them everything over a bowl of noodles and soup.

"Serves him right!"

"He should've thought before hurting you."

I couldn't agree with them. There was something quite big happening around him. I couldn't sleep well that night. Tossing and turning in my bed, it was 6 A.M.

That day at work, I kept trying to get into EXO's common room. But no one from their group was present. Either they were at practice or they had gone out. I didn't receive any news of Chanyeol except the fact that he hasn't returned from the hospital. And with Amy and Sophie now doing mostly other wing duties, I was quite alone by myself.

Around lunch time, I was visited by Taehyung. He jumped up to my desk and excitedly screamed "Y/N-ssi!" I wasn't startled as I had grown accustomed to these sudden reactions.

"Yes, Tae."

"Oooooo~ Tae~! Me likey!"

I smiled at his cute derp face.

"Y/N-ssi, come and eat with me. There's no one to give me company. Oh please please..." And he made the puppy eyes I used to die for in my teen days. My heart fluttered again.

"Haha, okay Tae. I'll give you company."

*It was a privilege, hihi*

He took me to his room where he had ordered everything beforehand. The waitress was serving food from her trolley when we went in. She greeted me. Tae grabbed my arm and made me sit on the couch, and he threw himself on my side.

"Yahaa~Kimbbap!" He exclaimed.

Everyone had left the room while he had got up to bring us champagne. *Wow, this felt like a date!*

"Cheers, chingu!"

We clunk our glasses and had our meal. He wasn't talking much. He ate with full satisfaction. I enjoyed watching him like that.

"This food is delicious!" Saying so he gulped a spoonful of Kimchi.

I was sensing that there must be something that was going on in his head, the way he was literally swallowing his lunch. But I didn't have the courage to ask him. He finished his lunch and sunk down on the couch, then looked at me.

"Y/N-ssi?"

"Ne, Tae?"

"Have you ever been in love?"

I was so shocked at what he said that I almost choked myself. Calming my muscles with a sip of water, I spoke.

"Yes, Tae, I have. Why do you ask?"

"Is it very hard?"

"Well it depends. It usually gets hard if it's true love."

"What if the person I truly love doesn't feel the same way?"

"It would hurt. But you must try to get her love. But if she still doesn't reciprocate, it's good to let her go and move on with your life."

"But they say true love happens only once...I won't be able to love anyone ever again!"
