I sighed. Ryan came over and sighed too. "Thanks for ruining my night."

Some other guy shoved me and laughed. "Let's have some fun with him."

"Please don't..."

Before I knew it, one of them had grabbed my shoulders and started spinning me around really quickly.

"STOP IT!" I yelled.

They all just laughed. I wasn't sure how many there were, but I could definitely feel 5 pairs of hands on me.

"This isn't fair!" I tried.

It seemed nothing I was saying was helping. They eventually let me go, but I was so dizzy that I just fell over. Snapping my cane.

That was an awful sound.

They all just turned and ran, leaving me stranded. I'd hurt my ankle in the hall, and I wasn't even sure if I could stand up.

I stayed on the ground, feeling awful and disoriented.

"Brendon?!" I heard a familiar voice call.

"Yeah," I mumbled.

"It's Dallon." He ran over. "Jesus, what happened?!"

"Assholes happened."

"Come on, I'll take you home." He pulled me to my feet.

"Thanks." I murmured, trying to ignore the pain my ankle.

"Oh....your cane..."

"Yeah..."

He grabbed the pieces and took my arm, helping me hobble over the grass.

"Thanks for this, Dallon."

"It's okay, I was just coming home from work. How did you end up on the second campus? Aren't you an art student?"

"Yeah, just, Ryan took me to a party."

"He seems like such an ass, dude."

"Oh, he is. I know that."

"Look, you seem kinda hurt, so let's just head to my dorm. Yours is an hour walk, and mine is only 5 minutes."

I nodded.

"Okay, cool." He paused for a moment. "There's stairs here, um... 17 of them."

"Okay..." I sighed.

The pain while trying to get up the stairs was unbearable. I was trying to drag my feet over them so I had a sense of the size of them.

I had to stop about halfway and let out a wince.

"You okay?" Dallon asked.

"I will be in a second?"

"Alright..."

It took ages to get up the stairs.

"Okay, nearly there." He assured, leading me down a corridor.

The rest of the walk wasn't half as bad.

When we got to his dorm, he led me in. I was really quite astounded on the size of his room. It was at least 3 times mine. "Okay, there's a couch just behind you if you want to sit."

"You're gonna have to help me. I don't know if I can trust myself without my cane."

He gently sat me down on the couch. "I'm gonna go grab you some water."

"Okay, thank you."

He disappeared for a moment and I laid back on the couch. This was a seriously comfy couch.

It was so nice and soft,

Dallon came back and gently placed a cup in my hand. "It's just water."

"Thank you." I smiled.

"No problems." He sat down next to me. "One more question, what's with the sheet?"

"What do you mean?"

"You're wearing a white sheet wrapped around you?"

"Oh, Ryan did that."

"Why?"

"Apparently it was a toga party?"

"Ah." He pulled it off me. "There."

"Thanks."-

"No problems. Do you want me to bandage your foot?"

"If it wouldn't be too hard?"

He left the room and returned with a bandage, which he proceeded to put on my foot.

"Thanks for taking care of me Dallon."

"Oh, it's no problem." He assured.

"You're so much nicer than Ryan."

"It's not very hard to be nicer than Ryan..."

"That's true."

He chuckled. "Do you have a spare cane back at your dorm?"

"I hope so. I think I packed it with my stuff?"

"Do you want me to drive you back or do you just want to stay here tonight?"

"Can I stay? I'm kinda tired."

"Yeah, that's totally fine. I'll get you some pajamas."

"Thanks." I smiled.

He passed me a pile of clothes. "Shirt is on top, pants are on the bottom. The bathroom is just this way."

I beamed.

After getting changed for bed, Dallon showed me to the bedroom. "Here, this is a king bed, it should be alright... let me know if you want another pillow or anything."

"I will. Thank you so much."

"No problems. Sleep well."

"You too."
