Thea smiled and threw her head back, lightly chuckling as she thought of an answer. Just as something witty came to her mind and her thumbs so effortlessly glided across the screen to write the first few words, his voice pitched in.

   ❝WOW, I'VE NEVER SEEN YOU
SO LOST IN TEXTING.❞

Thea shut her eyes, seething as all of Chuck's efforts to calm her down had manged to be destroyed by just his voice and presence alone.

As he dared sit beside her once again, a wicked thought entered Thea's mind. It was wrong to lie, but a white lie couldn't possibly cause much conflict, could it?

❝ Rollins, would you leave me alone?❞ Thea snapped, toying with the sinister thought in her mind as he only smugly grinned at her fed up demeanor.

❝JESUS CHRIST, ARE YOU TALKING
TO YOUR BOYFRIEND OR
SOME-
THING?❞

There it was. The lie she that had registered in her mind was spoken by him, and for a second Thea thought he had read her mind.

Yet, she no longer gave anyone the power to invade her privacy that way. What little information she gave to people was all her doing, and all for her benefit.

No one had to know the real her. The only Thea people would know of, was the one she gave her version of events of.

Feeding her the lie on a silver platter, Rollins would never see it coming when she shoved the plate down his throat by force.

❝ACTUALLY, I AM.❞ Thea responded and held her glare that caught Seth uncomfortably tensing up as he coughed. When he blinked in response, she turned back to conceal the smirk that had flickered onto her face.

She shouldn't relish on the stupid look he wore, but something about it was so damn satisfying to witness. ❝WHO ARE YOU DATING?❞  He asked, his voice a low growl as she then turned back to face him.

For once, he hadn't questioned her statement. It wasn't a rhetorical, "you are?" Jealousy was painted on his face, and it was a weakness she shot straight through.

Instead of telling him that it was none of his business— Thea extended the lie—❝Chuck Taylor.❞

His eyebrows furrowed, shocked. ❝You're dating Dustin?❞He spat, rising from the crate to take three steps closer to her.

Raising a brow and relishing on the victory, Thea suddenly felt like she had gained something.
❝I have to go make plans for a wedding— so hopefully— see you never.❞

As she walked away and tapped on her screen to call home, Thea burst into evil laughter.

❝A FREAKING WEDDING?
YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED?❞
