My POV:
Walking through the temple, everything around us gleamed in the moonlight, making me look in awe of the place. I have been here only once before, back when I was a little girl, and my parents were there, praying to Zeus about a good harvest. Before we left, I told them about who I really was and where I came from, but they seemed to have known, how, I don't know, but they kept it a secret for me, which I am thankful for.

Shaking my head from the memory, I look over at Hercules, smiling softly at his excitement with a bit of nervousness, thinking to myself, 'Soon, Hercules... Soon you will know who you truly are, and maybe... Maybe I might get my answers I have been searching for.'

I scratch my head, sighing softly as I look around, not noticing that Hercules was watching me. We both look forward to the giant statue of Zeus sitting in a giant throne, making me gulp slightly, feeling Hercules's hand in mine, keeping me calm. I smile softly at him, getting a smile in return before we both bend down, his hand never leaving mine once, causing me to blush.

Hercules spoke up, saying, "Oh mighty Zeus, please, hear me and answer my prayer. I need to know: Who am I? Wh-where do I belong?" I spoke up after him, saying softly, "Please, Mighty Zeus. Please answer our prayers.... Why am I here? What am I destined for? How can I find my way back home?" I spoke the last part in a whisper, not wanting Hercules to hear it.

Then, as I finish my prayer, the fires are lit, making Herc and I duck, looking up at the Zeus statue, seeing it start to move! 'Oh my.... Gods! This is actually cooler in person!!' I thought to myself, seeing Zeus open his eyes, smiling down at us, Hercules getting up, staring at him, pulling me up beside him. "My boy... My little Hercules..." Zeus said, reaching out towards us, making the both of us scream, trying to get away, but he picked us up in both hands.

I heard Zeus say to Hercules as he was trying and failing to attempt an escape, "Hey, hey, hey, hold on kiddo! What's your hurry? After all these years, this is the kind of 'Hello' to give your father?" Knowing that I had to play along, I look over at Hercules, shock on both our faces, and we said at the same time, "F-F-Father?!"

Zeus's voice then boomed to Herc, "Didn't know you had a famous father, did you? Well, Surprise!!!" Which causes our hair to go back, well, Herc's while some of mine does. Zeus then looks over to me, saying, "Ahh.... Brandi! It's nice to see you, dear. It's good that my son has a friend like you." As I sigh softly with a smile, he turned to Hercules with a huge smile and booms, "Look at how you've grown. Why, you've got your mother's eyes... And my strong chin. Hah!!!"

Hercules was just silent, looking at Zeus then over at me wide eyed, then he said, "I don't understand. If you're my father, that would make me a --" With me and Zeus cutting in, saying calming, "A god." I look over at Hercules, seeing him look at me in surprise then, heard him say, "A god. A god!" Zeus looked at me and said, "I'm sorry, Brandi, I understand you want to know why you were brought here, but I can't tell you the answer, you will have to find out for yourself."

I looked at him, with confusion and sadness on my face, while Hercules looked at me with confusion. "What's that supposed to mean?!" I asked Zeus angrily, feeling Hercules take my hand, instantly calming me down, hearing Zeus explain, "You will find out in due time, Brandi, in due time. Just trust in me."

While I stood there pondering, looking down, Zeus and Hercules continued talking, the big guy telling us, "Hey, you both wanted answers, and by thunder you both are old enough now to know the truth." I looked up, scratching my head while hearing Hercules ask in sadness, "But why'd you leave me on Earth? Didn't you want me?" Walking over to him, I hugged him gently, rubbing his back soothingly while Zeus explained to him, "Of course we did. Your mother and I loved you with all our hearts. But someone stole you from us and made you mortal, and only gods can live on Mount Olympus." Hercules then asked worriedly, pulling away from me, "And you can't do a thing?"

"I can't, Hercules, but you can." Zeus said to his son with hope in his voice, pointing at him. I smiled softly when Hercules said, "R-really? Wh-what? I-I'll do anything." I put a hand on his shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze, saying, "And I will do everything I can to help you." As Zeus looked at us, he cut in, "Hercules, if you can prove yourself a true hero on Earth, your god-hood will be restored!"

I look over at Hercules, knowing that he would be up for this, hearing him say, "A true hero. Great! Uh... exactly how do you become a true hero?" Zeus then explained, "First, you must seek out Philoctetes, the trainer of heroes.

I nod, saying with determination, "Seek out Philoctetes. Right." Then I saw Herc was about to fall off Zeus's palm, hearing him say, "I'll --" but I catch him, Zeus then putting us on the ground. "Whoa! Whoa! Hold your horses! Which reminds me..." Zeus says, whistling, then a star falls down from the sky, through an opening in the roof of the temple, and it turns into Pegasus, making me watch him in awe. "Wow..." I said softly, Hercules smiling at me. I look at Herc, smiling softly and chuckling as he looked away, blushing lightly, feeling heat build up in my cheeks.

"Ha ha! You probably don't remember Pegasus... but you two go way back, son." Zeus says happily, making me smile as I watch Pegasus sniff Hercules, then bonks foreheads with him and licks him, causing me to laugh at the dizzy look on his face. Then Pegasus goes over to me, nuzzling me before bonking my forehead with his, causing Hercules and Zeus to laugh, me smiling as I pet Pegasus.

"Oh, Pegasus!" Hercules excitedly exclaimed, hugging Pegasus and me, feeling the winged horse laying his head against ours, his wings wrapped around us. I chuckle, smiling at Pegasus while Zeus explains, "He's a magnificent horse. With a brain of a bird." Pegasus tweeted and then gets confused, causing me to laugh, feeling him nudge me.

"I'll find Philoctetes, and become a true hero!" Hercules stated confidently as he climbed on Pegasus, pulling me up behind him, hearing me say, "We'll find him together!" I lightly blush as Zeus shouted energetically, "That's the spirit!" I wrap my arms around Herc's waist, making sure I don't fall off, hearing him say to Zeus, "I won't let you down, father!"

Zeus then blows, causing Pegasus to go up into the air, making me gasp. "Yee-haw!" Hercules shouts as I yell out, "Let's do this! Woo!!!" I could hear Zeus say softly, "Good luck, son, and dear Brandi," turning around to see a lightning bolt strike the statue, seeing it go back to being motionless, the fires going out. As we both fly on Pegasus, I look across the sky, my heart beating fast, thinking to myself, 'This is it... I'm going on an adventure with Hercules! Man, I bet no one will believe me if I told them.'

-cue last part of the song!-

H: We will beat the odds.
M: We can go the distance.
H: I will face the world Fearless, proud and strong.
M: I will please the gods. Knowing what is right.
H + M: We can go the distance
H: 'Till I find my hero's welcome right,
H + M: Where we belong!

Again with the accuracy... given that Heracles was a member of the argonauts in some variations of the myth.😅

While the movie is absolutely beautiful, the differences to the original myth are really damn big.😅
