I blink and glance at Pidge, nodding. Lance lets go causing me to cover the lower half of my face with my jacket. Zoey, what is this weird feeling in my chest?

"Oh~ someone's got a crush~", Zoey mocks me and smirks. Shut up! I don't even know what a crush is! Your Earth-human words confuse me!

"So um what happens next?" A big dude named Hunk asks and looks around as he approaches. I blink and glance around at everyone not knowing what to say.

I stay quiet for a moment before bowing and responding, "thank you for freeing my people. If it weren't for Voltron we wouldn't be able to salvage what's left of our people or I wouldn't be here."

I stay in a bowing position and squeeze my eyes shut until a hand gently touches my shoulder. I jump a bit and look up to notice a woman with white hair and marks on her face.

"Do not apologize," she says with a warm smile, "it is our responsibility as Voltron."

"So... the legends aren't child's tales?" I mumble and stumble a bit. Lance catches me causing me to squeal and jump. "Sorry."

After a handful of introductions and some awkward exchanging of words, I managed to form an alliance with team Voltron. Surprisingly, it was easy. Talking to them just felt normal and easy. Normally when I'm in front of people, I get really shy and anxious. These people were easy to talk to. I can't explain it really. I want to join them in missions, but I know Dex won't allow me to so I've decided to sneak on their fancy castle ship. It shouldn't be that hard because I'm a shapeshifter after all.

As they were getting ready to leave, I shapeshifted into a tiny bug, hiding inside Lance's armor. Not going to lie, that was pretty uncomfortable. I waited for him to take his chest plate off before shifting into a mouse and running off. He must've noticed my mouse from because he jumped out of the way.

"That was weird," I heard Lance mumble as I hide in the air vent.

I glance at him before deciding to roam around the ship, still in my mouse form. At this point in time, everyone had returned to their previous activities. The ship went from bustling to being as quiet as a mouse. Speaking of a mouse, I ran into some mice. They were cute and apparently were stuck in a space pod miss Allura. I doubt I'll be able to keep my mouse form for much longer because this is getting tiring.

"You do realize those mice are going to rat you out to Allura, right?" Zoey says in an annoyed tone. I know, maybe I should stick by her.

While I was busy enjoying myself and pretending to be an innocent little mouse, things back home weren't doing so hot. It had been a few hours since team Voltron and myself left Narcria. I was busy napping in I think Lance's room. I'm pretty sure it was his room since everything in there smelled like blueberry. Anyways, everyone was busy doing their own thing when an alarm started to go off which woke me from my slumber because I accidentally shifted back into my normal form. I was too out of it to realize lance had pulled me along with them.

I squeal a bit causing him to cover my mouth. I blink and contemplate biting, but I refrain from doing so. He holds me until we get to the I'm guessing is the main deck.

"The princess," I hear a familiar voice and hide behind Lance, "she's missing. We haven't been able to find her since you left. Normally, she'd be hiding in a tree or somewhere but she's nowhere to be found."

"Lance, don't tell him I'm here," I whisper only to have Lance glance at me and then at the big holographic screen which had my brother on it. Everyone must've heard me because their attention shifted toward Lance and I.

"Zona, how did you get here?" Allura asks as I bite my tongue. I look down and bow at her as the same anxious feeling I've always gotten, rushes over me.

"I shapeshifted," I mumble in a low tone, "because I want to see the universe before I become queen. I'm sorry." I glance up at my brother who gives me a reassuring nod meaning he probably knew this was coming. To Narcrians it's common for an older sibling to know important aspects of the younger's life before they know. Luno can tell when something big is going to happen to me before it happens. I've gotten used to it.

"Zona, I already knew, " Luno says and chuckles a bit, "I've known for a while. I just called because Dex is freaking out. I'll just tell him your with team Voltron."

"But wouldn't he want her back on Narcria?" Shiro asks as the others nod in agreement.

"He might, but I can convince him to let her stay," Luno replies with a slight smirk.

I watch him before finally speaking up, "in short, Luno can see important aspects of my future before I even know. Chances are he knows what the outcome will be and has an excuse planned to let me stay. Honestly, don't know how he does it but I trust him wholeheartedly.

Sorry, this isn't much of an eventful chapter, but I tried. I'm trying my best to stick with the original plot of Voltron so this right now is early season 2.
My updates are going to be slow so bare with me. If you want to see more of me, you can follow my Instagram and Twitter which are both heyitsteilee!
