•One crazy night•

Start from the beginning

"- No, no." He told her. Taking his hands in his, he looked her in the eyes, a faint smile hovering on his lips. "- I can assure you Isaac had nothing to do with it. I promise." When she figured he wasn't going to tell her anytime soon. She decided to drop it for now. But she wans't going to let it go forever, she needed to know what went wrong in orded to get over Noel and forget her feelings for him. She needed closure. So she just smiled at him and nodded her head, before laying it on his shoulder again. And for the rest of the period they just sat there, by the school's pool, saying nothing at all, but understanding everything.

Aiden showed up at Rebecca's doorstep at exactly five o'clock. He wasn't a minute late, as if eager to go out, and be alone with the lovely lady. She smiled at him innocently when she opened the door, he as usual bowed down like a gentleman, and complimented her on her look saying she looks stunning as always, he then stepped aside, allowing her to walk to his car, openning the door for her when she reached the passenger's seat. She would usually mumble a small thank you or just smile at the gesture.

They were going to get that cup of coffee she promised him, only they weren't driving towards the city, on the contrary, they were driving out of it. She watched as the city she grew up in became blurry and the buildings appeared smaller and smaller. She wondered where they were going. She would ask Aiden, but he would tell it's a surprise.

"- I thought we were getting coffee." Rebecca teases, trying to sound indefferent, but deep inside she was as curious as cat. But he would just smile, and shake his head.

"- You said it's a date, and getting coffee sounded too boring. Don't you think ?"

"- Then why wouldn't  you just tell me where we're going?"

"-Then it wouldn't be a surprise Rebecca, now would it ?" He just chuckled at her attempts to get him to tell her their destination. She turned her head to the other side, so that she was staring out the window, checking out the trees as they passed by.

"- I don't quit like surprises." She mumbled more to herself than to him. Her mind immediatly went back to the day Noel Clark broke up with her and how much of a surprise it was to her. Her eyes became glossy, and she tried to surpress the tears that were threatning to escape her big doll eyes.

It still hurts, all of it, the break up, not knowing why it all ended, and having no closure, but fo now she tried to hide it, as she didn't want to ruin her date with Aiden. She didn't realise she was zoning out until she felt Aiden hand brushing her shoulder. She turned around to face him.

"- Don't worry, I'm not dragging to the woods to murder you." He joked, smiling a contagious smile, that Rebecca couldn't help but reflect on her face.

"- Just so you know, I own a pocet knife and I am not afraid to use it."

Chuckles and laughter filled the car, as the ride to their destination went by; it was so easy and fun to be around Aiden. He filled every pause and breath with more chatter. If Rebecca so much as paused to take a breath, he would start rambling and going on and on about anything and everything.  He even laughed about things that weren't funny. Rebecca was actually having a good time as much as she wanted to deny it.

She didn't want to date anyone. Dating was crappy. She was tired of telling poeple about herself, and opening up to one person after another only  only for them to tell her she's not what they're looking for, and to tell her the same old excuses 'It's not you, it's me'  and 'It's complicated'. She didn't want to get too hang up on someone just to get her heart broken at the end, like what happend with Noel, even though she didn't figure out what went wrong with them yet.

"-We're here." She was pulled out of her thought when Aiden pulled up in a parking lot, filled with few cars here and there.  She didn't understand what they were doing in a dusty lot. She was starting to think he was going to muder her and burry her far away from home, but of course that was nonsense.

She only understood when she got out of the car, and followed him. There was a big screen in the front, and the drivers and their ride along were getting ready to watch a movie.

"-Drive in movie.." she whispered. A smile made it's way to her face, as a shine was obvious in her eyes. "- I didn't even know they existed anymore."

"- I told you I was going to surprise you." He smiled and made his way to the back of the truck. "- the movie's starting soon, let's get ready." She followed him, helping him to get the blankets and pillows settled in the truck's trunk, and the climbed up, and sat down next to Aiden. He handed her some snacks to go with the movie.

The screen got lit up, and the whispers and chats dissapeared, as a peaceful silence took over the place. Rebecca smiled, taking a bite from the chocolate bar that Aiden handed her earlier. She didn't know which movie they were playing, but it seemed like an old one. She was enjoying it. Both the movie and the date. And even then she couldn't help but think about Noel and their movie night. She missed cuddling with him in bed as they watched some horrible action movie Noel picked, and how sh'd hate his taste and end up ignoring the movie and making out with her dear boyfriend. Ex-boyfriend.

"- Thank you." Rebecca whispered to Aiden, and he just looked at her, a quizzical look on his face, as if asking 'for what'. "- For the date. It's nice." she smiled at him, her dimples making their apparence and adding charm to her lovely smile. Aiden just stared at her, appriciating how beautiful she was. She wasn't a classical beauty, no flowing golden curls, or eyes of infinite blue oceans. She wasn't perfect, but she was stunning in her own way. She was appealing to both genders, men desired her, and women courted her frienship.

Aiden found himself leaning in, and only stopped when a few inches separated them. He could feel her heavy breath on his face, he could smell her beautiful scent, and he couldn't wait for her to close the gap between them so he could experience heaven on earth with her. But it never happened.

"- I didn't mean to lead you on."
