15. Bye Bye

"You down for pancakes?" Jay asked

"Oh shit yes im always down for pancakes." I said

"We're going to I hop." Jay said

"We're going to I hop!" I shouted.

"Boi dont shout we got two kids in the back seat." Jay said

"Oh dang yeah." I said, "I'm sorry. Someone asked why we have babies and whos they are."

"I would say they were ours as a joke but people would take it seriously and your girlfriend already hates me." Jay said, "They're my dads kiddos, we are baby sitting my sisters."

"Juliet doesn't hate you." I said

"Oh right." Jay replied, "She just doesn't like me, sorry."

"You two will warm up to each other one day." I said looking back at my phone reading comments, "someone said yall should fight it out , like in a place you couldn't hurt each other."

"I've tried to be nice she legitimately just hates me." Jay said, "and lets be real a place we couldn't hurt each other. Nuh uh no way someone would get hurt and the knife would just cut deeper."

"Y'all are wildin' just get along." I said

"Mhm tell that to her." Jay said pulling into the ihop parking lot.

I got out of the car still on live, I got Skylar out of the car while Jay got Jasper.

"Look at how cute she is." I said, "I don't want a baby any time soon but look at how cute this little one is."

Jay laughed as we walked into Ihop. We were quickly seated, Jay and I in a booth with Skylar and Jasper in high chairs at the end of the table. I set my phone up at the end of the table against the wall.

"I'm very excited for pancakes."  Jay said

"What do the kiddos get?" I questioned

"Skylar loves pancakes , so I get her pancakes with strawberries. And Jasper doesn't like pancakes, so I get her scrambled eggs." Jay said

"They're gonna get their clothes dirty." I said

"Thats why god invented bibs ." Jay said laughing

"Im just gonna end this y'all are probably bored," I said, "byeee."

I ended the live , putting my phone down and read the menu. Jays phone began to ring.

"Hey Corbyn." Jay said,

I could hear the voice on the other side of the phone.

"Its Jack." He said

"Oh hey Jack." Jay said, "what's up?"

"Just called to tell you that we made it here safe and that it's great here." He said

"Thats great Jack." Jay said with a smile, "I hope you have tons and tons of fun with the boys."

"It will be tons of fun, I just wish you were here with us baby girl." Jack said

"I know you do, and I wish I was there too, but next time love." Jay said, "I'm glad you guys are safe, send me tons and tons of pictures of your adventures."

"Of course I will. I love you and I miss you so much already." He said

"I gotta go Jack , I love you and miss you tons." Jay said, "we'll talk later tonight."

"I'll call you when the shows over tonight okay?" He said

"I can't wait to here about it." Jay replied

"Bye baby girl." Jack said

"Bye love." Jay said

She hung up the phone and set it down on the table. The waitresses came over and took our order, after that we just sat there quietly.

"So how long have you and Jack kinda been a thing?" I asked

"Like three years, it started when we were fifteen." Jay said, "he's a really good guy, I thank the lord he's put up with me for as long as he has."

"How did it start." I asked, "and don't tell me it's a long story cause it's probably not."

Jay laughed before answering.

"Well we have been friends forever and I  was staying with him for a few weeks over summer break." She said, "It started out really cutesy and innocent. We would just cuddle and whatever no big deal right? Well cuddling turned into kissing, kissing turned into making out , making out turned into more and then we ended up having sex. It was wild, we were each others first."

"Is there more to the story?" I asked, "sounds too simple from how you act like it started."

"Okay fine there is more." Jay said, "we were fine everything was good till two weeks after we had sex. We hadn't used a condom when we had sex cause I was on the pill, we were kids we thought we'd be okay."

"Jesus did you get pregnant?" I asked

"Let me finnish the story and you'll know." Jay said, "So two weeks went by and everything was great between us. I was home but that was fine, until I missed my period. I thought I was pregnant, I was so scared and I didn't know what to do. I did the shittiest thing, I just completely stopped talking to Jack. I was freaking out and I didn't know what to do, I got like 15 pregnancy tests, most were negative but some where positive. I cried for two days and then I went to the doctor to see for real. A few days later I found out that I wasn't pregnant, thank god, but I had fucked up real bad with Jack. I didn't know what to do about it. When I went home I called him crying. It had been like a week since I had talked to him, I just unloaded everything that has happened on him all at once and apologized for not talking to him. I thought he was gonna tell me to not talk to him again, but it was completely the opposite. He said that he wished I would have told him, that he would have supported me though it. If I was pregnant or not he said he would have been there for me. And if I was pregnant he would have supported me in whatever choice I made. Thats the first night he told me he loved me, and that's also the night that I realized that I had someone great. Someone I couldn't bear to lose."

"Wow." I said, "What happened after that?"

"Things kinda just went back to the way that they were before those things happened. We didn't talk about it for a long time after that." Jay said, "we didn't really become a thing again till like a year ago when he moved out to LA. We've just had lots of ups and downs but found our way back to each other. I don't know , maybe he's the one."

"Probably is." I said

"What about you and Juliet?" She asked

"We'll it is nothing as wild as you and Jack." I said, "we were just two high school kids who ran in the same circle. We started out as friends, till I started to kinda like her. We went on a few dates and a while later I asked her out. And here we are."

"You're right that wasn't as wild as my story , but it wasn't as stressful as my story either." She said

"Not as stressful?" I questioned , "just about as stressful, I'm just some nerd out of shaker heights. It was so stressful."

"Some nerd out of shaker heights." Jay said laughing, "maybe you were. But you're out here killing it now."

"I'm killing it?" I questioned

"You came onto a singing show as a rapper, Conor you are killing it." She said

I laughed taking a sip of my water. I might just make it to the end of this thing.
