Graduation/The Promise

Dani opens her letter and frowns.

Rachel: What does it say?

Dani: I didn’t get in.

A tear falls from Dani’s eye I wipe it off.

Kurt: You still have the letter from NYU.

Dani: Right.

Dani opens her letter from NYU she smiles.

Dani: They loved my essay and they are happy to inform me that I have been accepted to NYU.

Rachel, Blaine, and Kurt all squeal they all hug each other.

Mr. Schue: That is great guys.

Rachel: All of us are going to New York together.

Dani: Not all of us.

Dani looks at me I give her a small smile.

Santana: Congrats baby.

Dani: Thank you.

Finn: I’ve also decided not to go to New York I want to stay here and take college courses here to get a teaching degree.

Rachel: If that’s what you want Finny I’ll support it.

Rachel and Finn hug each other.

Mr. Schue: Does anyone want to sing a song?

Rachel: Actually Mr. Schue all of us have a song for you.

Mr. Schue: Okay.

Everyone gets up and sits on the stools in front of the class. Puck grabs a guitar starts to play.

Rachel

Those school girl days

of telling tales and biting nails are gone

But in my mind I know they will still live on and on

who was taken you from crayons to perfume

It isn't easy but I'll try

And as I leave I know that I am leaving my best friend

Dani and I look at each other and hold hands. A tear falls from her eye

A friend who taught me right from wrong

And weak from strong that's a lot to learn

Pucks plays some more notes and the song ends we are all in tears. Mr. Schue gets up so do we all of us hug. The bell rings all of us leave the room.

-Hallway-

-Dani’s (POV)-

I go to my locker and grab something from it I got Santana a promise ring. I turn around and see Santana coming towards me I smile and she smiles.

Santana: Hi.

Dani: Hi.

Santana & Dani: I have something for you.

We laugh a little.

Dani: You can go first.

Santana: Okay um, I’ve been wanting to give one of these for a while.

She opens up a box and reveals a ring I gasp and grab it I put it on.

Santana: It’s a promise ring it’s my way of saying that I promise that I will always be faithful to you no matter what.

I smile and kiss her.

Dani: Well there is something that I want to give you and like what you said I’ve been wanting to give you one of these for a while too.

I open the box and reveal a ring she gasps and takes it she puts it on.

Santana: Looks like we had the same idea.

Dani: Like I said it’s a sign we are supposed to be together. So this promise ring is my promise to you that I will be faithful to you no matter where I am or where you are.

Santana: I love you.

Dani: I love you too.

We kiss and I get dragged away by my arm.

Finn: We have to go get ready for graduation.

Dani: I’ll see you later babe.

Santana: Bye.

Finn and I get home and get ready for graduation when we are all ready mom takes a picture of us and we head out.

-Auditorium-

-Santana’s (POV)-

I’m sitting in my spot in the auditorium I look around and see Dani I wave and she wave. Principal Figgins walks to the podium and starts calling names

Principal Figgins: Finn Hudson.

Finn gets up and gets his diploma.

Principal Figgins: Rachel Berry.

Rachel gets up and gets her diploma. Principal Figgins continues to call names he to Dani’s name

Principal Figgins: Danielle Hendricks.

She gets up and gets her diploma she sticks out her tongue and everyone cheers.

Principal Figgins: Santana Lopez.

I get up and grab my diploma. After he is done calling our names we cheer and throw our hats up in the air and cheer I can’t believe that this year is over. All of us go out and celebrate.
