"Maybe I was a little harsh in how I treated her, but it doesn't change the fact that she's still a bad influence for you guys. Sandra would be more than happy to let your sister stay at her house." Blossom got up from her seat with tears in her eyes.

"She only wants your attention dad! She just wants your attention even if it's just for a second! I've woken up to her crying because you didn't go to a single one of her games! I get that you aren't a big sports person, but really? She's your daughter! She only really started partying recently after she won her national soccer game last year." The professor took in a deep breath before responding.

"Sandra will give her the attention she wants. I'm not going to tolerate any kind of alcohol and drug use from any of my daughters. Even if it is just a cry for attention." The auburn haired teen stared at her father in disbelief.

"Are you seriously about to disown her over this? She didn't even hurt anyone!" The oldest sister desperately argued to the scientist, who decided not to respond. The tall secretary was the one to break the silence.

"I need to go home now, but I just need to let you know how big of a mistake you're making here. By doing this, you're breaking that girl's heart. She thinks the world of you. I've talked about this with her before. She told me she wished you would look at her the way she looks at you. I'll just leave you with that." The voluptuous woman walked out the door and drove back to her house, leaving the professor with his two daughters.

Sandra led Buttercup into her house and sat her on her living room couch.

"Ms. Keane, be honest. Do you think the professor hates me?" The teacher had hoped she would've dropped the topic by now, but no such luck.

"Buttercup... He's definitely disappointed, but hate is a strong word." The young teen sighed sadly and looked to the floor.

"He told me not to call him dad anymore." Her voice cracked on the last word. "Does that mean he doesn't want me? Is that why you didn't bring me home?" Tears began to fall from the girl's green eyes. Sandra felt her heart break from the look of utter despair on Buttercup's face.

"No! Calm down sweetie, it's okay! Look, you need to get a good night's sleep and we can go over to your house to talk about this with John. I can't answer your questions because only he can truly answer them for sure. I'll walk you to bed." The raven haired puff took in a shaky breath and nodded, following the teacher into the guest bedroom. She laid down in the bed and got under the warm blankets.

The mother figure kissed the depressed teen on her forehead before turning out the lights.

"Please get some sleep Buttercup." With that, the blue eyed woman closed the door to the guest room and walked out the door.

The professor groaned at the sound of the phone ringing. He turned on the lights and begrudgingly got out of his bed to find out who was calling so late into the night.

"...hello?" A groggy response came from the sleepy scientist.

"John. I'm bringing Buttercup over tomorrow. You two need to talk." The man scowled at the voice on the other end, more so at what she was saying.

"I thought you were just keeping her! What's the point of talking about it? It's only going to create more problems. If Blossom and Bubbles see her here, they're going to expect me to take her back in!" He heard a light gasp on the other line.

"You're seriously going to push your daughter off on me just because of a stupid fight you guys had? Yes she was wrong for doing what she did, but this is excessive!" The professor clenched his jaw.

"I'm not going to risk Blossom's and Bubbles's future because of Buttercup's delinquency! I don't want her here to be a bad influence on them! I'm serious Sandra, I don't want her near this house." The line was silent.
