Were they planted or wild. I smiled, I didn't care, it was a sign. I've always believed in omens and symbolism. Was this a way of telling me I would find my way home? I breathed deep I hoped so. I stood up and continued looking down at them. I swore on my life, Ryder I will come home to you or die trying.

"C'mon Isa! We don't have all day!" Marc yelled from the car as I shook my head and walked back to the car. Of course we didn't and neither does Ryder.

-Sometime Later-

We stopped at an old shack in the middle of the woods behind the pack's territory. A little cliche but it worked well to my advantage. "Why did she decide to live here?"

Marc parked the car and took off his seat belt. "It's close to her old home, and do you know how many herbs grow around here? It's practically unlimited because of how many years the land has gone untouched for."

I shrugged my shoulders as we got out of the car. Just as we got out, the door to the shack squeaked open and reveled a woman who looked to be in her late 40's. She smiled and I was taken aback.

"Oh hello there young ones. I've been expecting you for quite some time now, especially you Isabella." She walked over to me and took my hands. "I'm sorry for the trouble I have caused you. Come, there is a remedy for everything."

She pulled me inside the shack but on the inside it didn't look like a shack at all, it was huge! I looked around amazed at the appearance. I was speechless. "You like? Nothing but an illusion my dear child." She snapped her fingers and everything became dull and lifeless the exact opposite of what I saw before. There were herbs and spices and and small dead animals in jars which I was creep-ed out by.

"Now, just let me get a few things and we can getting going." she said as she speedily walked around the small shack. I looked at her confused, I didn't even say what the matter was but she already knew.

"How do you know what do?" I asked finally getting my voice. "And how does this pendant work exactly? I want to know everything before we go anywhere." She stopped and sighed. "Please?" I finished.

"My dear girl there is so much to tell you. Please have a seat. She motioned for both of us to sit at a small table with two rickety wooden chairs. She sat on a the single bed that was in the corner of the room facing us.

"Now, where should I start?" she asked no one particularly. "From the beginning please." I answered her and she nodded.

"It was approximately 536 years ago. Kenzie, my only daughter at the time was interested in being a witch but she couldn't inherit the witch genes because as you know they are very unstable. Yet I taught her the basics anyway. One day she bought two matching pendants, one of them was the one you are wearing."

She paused as I picked up the pendant from my neck and gazed at it. I looked up to her and she continued. "Without my knowledge she cursed yours and enchanted hers. I knew teaching her was a bad idea but I always liked the thought of having another witch in the family so I did it anyways."

She shook her head and put it in her hands. "The spells were only supposed to last for a few days but because she wasn't a true witch they themselves became an unstable object to be feared. There was no way of telling what would happen."

"So what did happen?" I asked looking at her and I could tell she saw my curiosity. She sighed again."When you were kidnapped you transformed causing the necklace to be forced to change with your being so that it wouldn't break causing a ripple in time that you just so happened to run into. If the spell was cast by a true witch that wouldn't have happened but since Kenzie wasn't it had that effect."
