Kemaryn's POV

"I have something I need to tell you, and this time I'm going to tell you without us getting interrupted," I solemnly said.

She met my gaze with those big brown eyes and nodded. I walked over to lock the door, my mind racing with thoughts of how to broach the subject.

How do I even begin?

How can I make her understand?

What words should I use?

I paused and stared at her, deep into her eyes.

"There's no easy way for me to say the things that are running through my mind... I want to tell you, but I'm scared that if I reveal the truth, you'll leave. But if you decide to go, Bubble Pop, I promise I won't stop you. Dr. Green will take you wherever you want in the world, and you can have anything you desire. You have my word."

She just looked at me, and I turned away, focusing on the floor. I feared that she'd never speak to me again after this revelation.

Maybe sitting down will make it easier.

I grabbed a chair, placed it in front of her, and sat down.

"Speak your mind, Kemaryn. I don't have all damn day to wait," she yelled impatiently.

I locked eyes with her.

"I have another persona. This other persona resides within my body, and you know him. But he and I are different... his name is Clutch. I know you might not believe me because this sounds like something a crazy person would say, and maybe I am crazy, but I want to show you so you can understand."

She burst into laughter.

"Yeah right, I call bullshit. There's no way, quit playing with me."

"No, I'm serious. I'm going to close my eyes and let Clutch take over. Please don't freak out and just be patient with me."

"Okay..."

I shut my eyes and began to breathe deeply, hoping this wouldn't be the end of our conversation.

Killer Clutch's POV

I opened my eyes, and there she was, staring at me, her expression a mix of shock and realization. It was time; he must have finally revealed the truth. Okay, breathe. It's our time to shine.

She looked at me as if she knew I was a different person, as if everything suddenly made sense.

"Babygirl, I'm Clutch. I know this is a lot to take in, but I never really get to speak my mind without pretending to be him, so hear me out first."

She nodded, giving me the green light to continue.

"I'm the one who said 'I love you' first. I'm the reason Kemaryn didn't know most of the things I told you or did to you when you confronted him. I'm the one who did all those things to protect you. And now, it's time I tell you the truth about everything."

She looked at me, hurt and confused, and asked, "You are two different people in one body, but how is that possible? I'm so confused. Why did you both play with my emotions and not just tell me the truth from the beginning? Why lie to me all that time and then just leave me when I fell for you?" Her voice trembled with emotion.

"We never meant to hurt you, and we never wanted to lie to you. At the time, we didn't fully understand how to handle having split personas and loving one girl. But I need to tell you something really bad, and I know you won't forgive me. It's time I tell you why we left because this isn't the only news we have to get off our chest."

Her eyes reflected hurt and betrayal as she asked, "So, why did you both leave me?"

"We left because we had no other choice. One day, you came to me and confided in me about your stepdad, about what he did to you. You wished it would end. I became so upset about it that the following week, while you were at school, I saw you having a great day, smiling and laughing. I didn't want your joy to be ruined when you got home. All I ever wanted was to see you happy every day. So, I decided to leave school early and went home. I found my dad's untraceable gun, cleaned it, put on some gloves, and took it to your stepdad's house. I proceeded to shoot him eight times in his dick, once for every time he had hurt you. I was so caught up in the moment that I ran straight home and called my parents, telling them to come home because I had gotten in trouble. As soon as they arrived, they saw the blood on me and the gun on the table. They took one look at me, listened to my story, and decided I would spend the rest of my life out of the states with Dr. Green. After that day, I left home, went to live with Dr. Green and I became what is now known as Killer Clutch. I know that you may not forgive me for all the lies but it was time you knew the truth."

I looked down, trying to hide my emotions, wondering if I had just lost her after revealing everything. The weight of it all pressed heavily on my shoulders.
