He looked over to his dad. "I know that I don't really like the idea of you moving all the way to New York to go to school to be a performer with zero job security. You could have some better plan, but I know one thing that's for certain, Blaine. You are very, very talented. I've seen it since you were five and you sat down at the piano and started playing. There is something about you, a driven force that seems to make you unstoppable. If you don't get in, you can do something else, kid. This won't stop you."

Blaine nodded, and he gripped the paper tightly. He had to do it now. He couldn't wait any longer, so he took a deep breath. With a nod, he tore open the top and pulled out the paper, looking up at his waiting parents before finally reading what his future would be.

Dear Mr. Anderson,

I hope you are as pleased to read this letter as I was to write it. On behalf of The New York Academy of Dramatic Arts Admission Committee and the whole board of directors, I am very please to announce the acceptance of your application and audition to New York Academy of Dramatic Arts! After careful review of you credentials, we feel that you academic and extra-curricular accomplishments will add greatly to our campus.

It was like a wave crashed over him, and he couldn't believe that this was his life. He looked up, hands shaking a little as he gripped the paper. "I-I…" He took a deep breath. "I GOT IN!"

There was a pause before his mom let out a shriek and hurried around the counter to wrap him in a hug, his dad following. He couldn't believe it. He had stressed for so long, and now he could just relax because he got in. He was going to NYADA in the fall, and he couldn't be happier.

"I told you," his dad said with a proud smile. "You were all worried, and now you are in. You are going to live your dreams, and I couldn't be more proud."

Blaine hugged him tightly, tears welling up in his eyes because his dad really didn't like to show much emotion most of the time. "Thanks, dad. I'm just so excited."

"I know someone else who will be so excited to hear the news," his mom said as he stood back, practically jumping because he was so happy and excited.

"I'm gonna go right now," he said quickly. He hugged each of them quickly before making his way to the car. It was a blur as he drove to school, barely able to control the smile on his face. He knew that Kurt was going to be so happy, and he just wanted to tell him already.

They had made the decision of opening his letter with his family because Kurt had opened his with Rachel and Finn the year before. He knew that his parents wanted to be a part of that because he was going to be gone soon, so he was happy to give them that. He pulled into the parking lot, jumping out and heading towards the door. He made it quick, booking it inside and sending a text to Kurt to tell him where to meet.

To: Kurt (7:43 A.M.)

Hey! Meet me by the choir room ASAP!

He could hardly contain himself, bouncing on his feet as he scanned the crowd for the familiar coif. Finally, after an antagonizing five minutes, he saw a mixture of red, white, and navy blue. Blaine pushed off, not waiting for the boy to meet him. Kurt's eyes were bright as he smiled when he saw Blaine, but Blaine didn't stop. He slid his hand up Kurt's jaw, pulling him in for a deep kiss right there in the hallway. He didn't care who saw.

Kurt stumbled back a minute, but steadied himself and kissed back, his hands coming to rest on Blaine's waist. He didn't want to, but Blaine finally pulled back, smiling brightly.

"Not that I mind or anything, but that was totally unexpected," Kurt said, his eyes fluttering opening. "I take it that you are in a better mood today than last night?"
