He hissed like a snake. "Oh?" He asked loudly and bent down, picking up one of the rocks and chucking it back at her. She barely avoided the rock she was sure could have put a hole in her body. She scrambled towards stone bench sitting next to the flowerbed, hiding behind it as the werewolf man continued to throw rocks at her.
She squeaked as one nearly hit her head as she reached for her own ammo to return fire. So, that was how the rock fight started. Neither one of them noticed when one of the man's rocks soared over Izzie's head and smashed into a nearby window, shattering it.
"What in the hell is going on here?"
Izzie and her opponent froze mid throw and turned to face the Alpha, who's eyes were bouncing comically between them.
"She started this shit, Aye!" The man accused, dropping his rocks.
Izzie quickly jumped up from her shelter. "That's a damned lie!" She stormed over to the Alpha. "One of your goons were harassing a poor a child! I just came to stop him!"
"Uga uga!" Alexander suddenly yelled like a mad man.
Izzie stared at him in pure shock. Was he staring at her chest. She quickly covered herself, realizing she was just in her thin night shirt. "You...You..." She couldn't even find the words.
He stared at her now covered chest for a few more seconds before looking up at her face, smirking lightly. "What were you saying?"
Izzie had to struggle to close her mouth. What was wrong with this guy. "I..." she decided she didn't even want to touch that with the world's longest pool. "Your friend was harassing a child," she nodded towards Ian who stood nearby, holding onto his ball with wide eyes.
"The little monster was throwing it at my window this morning and completely ignored me when I told him to stop, he just stuck his tongue out at me like a brat!" He shot a glare at the child who flinched. Izzie's eyes widened as she looked at Ian. Was that true? Ian looked sheepishly. "I was wondering why one minute he was running form me and the next he stopped right here underneath this window and started screaming, I found out when momma bear came storming out with a thirst for blood!"
"Uncle Ian, can you come here please?" Alexander sang as he curled his finger at the child, beckoning him forward. Ian slowly shuffled forward, looking as guilty as sin.
Izzie felt betrayed, the little hellion had set her up!
"Is this true, Ian?" Alexander asked the child, who nodded slowly. "I think I'll hang on to this, for a while." The Alpha said swiping the ball from the child's hands. Ian looked close to crying but seemed to think better of it when Alexander shot him a look that had him running back into the house.
Izzie was a second away from following the child, when the Alpha turned to her before she got the chance. He threw and caught the ball with one hand. "I think you should apologize to Leo."
She looked away, off towards the sky. "What the hell for?" She questioned voice barely above a mutter. "He was still bullying a child!" She said stubbornly and a little louder.
"He wa-" Leo was cut off by a look from Alexander.
"You see those knots on his head you caused?" Izzie glanced at the man, Leo, and fought off a smile. The man glowered at her. "He is my beta, what if you would have seriously harmed him? That would have been one less fighter we would have available in case of an attack."
Izzie wasn't impressed by his reasoning. "If a couple of rocks thrown by a human hurt him...well...sounds like a personal problem." She shrugged.
He was all up in her personal space in seconds, staring down at her, successfully intimidating her. "I've heard my grandfather spoiled you, you should now, those days are over, human." He growled, eyes as hard and cold as the world. "Apologize!"
Izzie had never been one to back down from anything. She didn't apologize, it was very likely why she never had any friends in school, she didn't apologize and it took a lot for her to forgive. She was afraid of this man, especially after seeing what he could do. But her pride had gotten her in trouble before and she knew it would again.
"No," she denied.
"No?" He questioned, fangs poking from his upper lip. He stepped even closer to her, forcing her to place her hands on his very warm, bare chest to give her some room. "You're about catch a hand upside your head, girl." He threatened.
Izzie swallowed. She had never been hit before and she didn't doubt this unstable man would. She didn't back down though.
His nostrils flared. "Hmm, you don't smell so bad." He said, voice more now thoughtful instead of threatening.
Izzie started and stared at the now thinking Alpha. What? Holy mood swing.
"What?" Izzie questioned weakly, uncomfortable.
"Its time we handle your situation, human." He said.
Situation? "My name is Izzie," she blurted accidently, meaning but not wanting to find out how exactly he was going to 'handle' her 'situation'.
"Oh, I know," He glanced over at her former opponent, who know she knew was named Leo, and they seemed to have a silent conversation. "Let's meet at my office at 3." He said, eyes on her once again. "It's the old man's old office, I'm sure you know where that is." He winked before both he and Leo walked away without another look or a glance back.
