But it was a needle.
The second I laid eyes on it, my mind went racing back to my time spent locked in that cage at Mad'ouk. My heart was beating out of my chest, my conscious was spinning, falling down the dark rabbit hole where my nightmares become real life.
"What... what are you going to do with that?!"
I scurried away from her with fearful eyes while my mind spun into a frenzy.
"N-No! S-Stay away from m-me!" I stammered.
I could see Willa's mouth moving, but no words were coming out.
Zack was reaching out to me, trying to calm my racing heart, but I couldn't feel anything.
As I backed myself into the corner of the room, the walls begin to fade away, shifting into the cold stone that I know so well.
"N-no..."
I fell back into someone's arms, arms that weren't trying to calm me down, but arms that were trying to pin me back. When I looked up hesitantly, the face beside me was no longer Zack's, it was no longer the face of a person who cared about me, but the face of a man who wanted to kill me.
Zane.
He was pinning me against the wall with a psychotic grin on his face. I screamed and thrashed wildly against his hold, begging for him to let me go.
"No! Let me go! Get off of me!"
The torturous tears didn't begin to fall from my eyes until I heard his murderous laugh.
When I looked up, it was no longer Willa holding the needle. It was the devilishly handsome face of the only man I'm terrified to death of.
Fallon.
"N-No... n-no, p-please no..." I begged as he strode towards me.
The sadistic grin that kept me up at night tugged at his lips, sending my mind into an overdrive of terror.
"Please! Please don't do it!" I pleaded.
But nothing mattered to him.
He loved seeing me beg for mercy. He relished in my fear, in my pain. I couldn't take anymore wolfsbane. I couldn't handle any more silver.
I couldn't do it.
"P-Please, I'll be g-good! I-I promise, I'll be good! I'll take your b-beatings! I-I'll do anything y-you want!
"Please, F-Fallon... n-no more..." I sobbed.
Fallon knelt down beside me and brushed a strand of hair off of my wet cheeks. He didn't speak, only looking at me so menacingly that it instilled a mind-numbing fear into every crevice of my body.
"No! Let me go! Please just let me go!"
Nothing.
"I-I can't t-take it anymore..." I whispered as he lifted the glistening needle to the crook of my neck.
And right before I felt a sharp point pierce my skin, I looked up at Zane with heavy eyes.
"P-Please..."
