I sat there by his hospital bed, praying he would wake up. Anthony had overdosed after a fight we had.

"Tony, please wake up." Tears pricked my eyes.

"(Y/N), why don't you get some rest." John's voice jerked me back to reality.

"No, I'm gonna stay here until he wakes up. It's my fault we're in this mess." I didn't want to leave Anthony's side.

"(Y/N), you can't take all the blame. He's the one that took too much." Flea rested a hand on my shoulder.

"(Y/N), Anthony is strong. He will wake up.

"I hope you're right, Chad." My voice was weak and strained.

*Flashback*

"God damnit, Anthony! Why won't you listen to me?"

"Because (Y/N) you're being irrational!"

"Irrational? Anthony, you're the one being irrational." My voice was beginning to become hoarse from screaming.

"I can't deal with this shit (Y/N)!" Anthony's anger was boiling, and I could see that.

"Fine, then you don't have to." I walked out the door; the tears were hot in my eyes.

I went to the park where I ran into John.

"(Y/N), what's wrong?" John startled me when he spoke.

"Anthony and I fought." My voice cracked, and John pulled me into a hug.

"(Y/N), I'm sure you guys will work things out." He tried to reassure me.

"You're right, John; I'm gonna talk to him." I stood without another word.

"Good luck!" John called as I was walking away.

"Anthony!" I shrieked as I dropped to my knees beside his unresponsive body. I checked his pulse. He was still alive... barely. I quickly called 911; it wasn't long before an ambulance and paramedics rushed him to the hospital. I knew I needed to call and tell John, Chad, and Flea.

"Chad, it's me (Y/N); Anthony is going to the hospital. He overdosed." I lost my composure at the last sentence.

"Oh shit (Y/N), I'm coming to get you, and we'll go to the hospital. Did you tell John and Flea?" Chad sounded rushed and distraught.

"Yes, I did." I tried to remain calm but failed miserably.

*End of Flashback*

I was still waiting, watching the clock on the wall. With each tick of the second hand, I began to worry even more. What if Anthony didn't wake up? I wondered how I was going to live if he died. That's when I decided I wouldn't live if he died.

"Oww." Anthony winced as he opened his eyes and sat up.

"Anthony, thank God you're okay." I leaned down and kissed his head.

"(Y/N), I'm so sorry. Sorry for everything." Anthony cast his gaze down in shame.

"Tony, it's okay. I forgive you; please don't do that again. I can't lose you; I just can't." A strangled half-broken sob tore through me.

"I promise, never again."

I bet my head down and kissed his lips. I was just thankful he was alive. Without him, I was nothing.

John, Flea, and Chad returned to the room to see me sitting beside Anthony in the uncomfortable bed. He was curled into my side.

"Told you so." Chad's smile was equal parts relief and gloating.

"So you did." I laughed and ran my fingers through Anthony's slightly tangled long hair.

We had a long road ahead of us, and I knew there would be many more bumps. However, I knew Anthony and I would get through them together because that's how we were.
