"Um, hey! Today I'm meeting Peter for the first time!" You smiled, resisting the urge to run off again. You walked in front of your dad and the phone, waiting for Peters curls to give him away. You searched the whole room until you saw him, and your heart practically stopped.

He was real, and he was grasping a sign

"Welcome to Queens, Y/n!"

You let out a happy gasp, running to him quicker than ever. You didn't care that this was in the middle on an airport, you just wanted to see your best friend.

Your dad fast-walked behind you, making sure to not shake the camera for this moment. You practically jumped onto Peter, him holding you both up as he dropped the sign and twirled you around as you cried happy tears. You felt his presence, and his heart beating wildly.

"Hey! Don't cry! Y/n!" He said, wrapping his arms around you again as you both swayed in each others embrace.

You felt whole. Your only friend, your best friend, was with you.
"Picture! Smile!" May cheerily said, as Peter slung a hand around your shoulder, and you wrapped yours around his waist, as he was slightly taller. Only slightly as you would argue for many years to come.

You both beamed at the camera, waiting for May to dismiss you from this pose. She eventually did, leaving you two to pull apart and turn to face each other.

"Hey, Pete!" You smiled at him, grinning ear to ear

"Hey, Y/n" He smiled back, and those simple words made you feel like you were on cloud 9.

Peter and his aunt had insisted that they help with moving in, and so you had all piled into a cab. There was a scream, and you could hear May mutter "Welcome to New York" under her breath. You giggled, but then Peter started shifting in his seat.

"May, I forgot I had to study with Ned! I-i've got to go, sorry!" Peter said, not giving you a chance to protest before he hopped out of the cab and away from the road.

May seemed embarrassed by her nephews excuse.

"Sorry about him; he's very devoted to his studying" She explained, and you nodded understandingly.

"It's fine-that'll probably be me in a few weeks!" You exclaimed, realising that there were going to be new topics and grade systems as well as curriculums.

There was a flash of red and blue from across the road, and you gasped in excitement. There were few big crimes that required a superhero in your town, and this was the first you'd seen of Spiderman. You smiled as he swung from his webs, wondering what substance was strong enough to make such a sturdy material.

You hadn't noticed your dads grip on his seat tighten at the thought of The Spiderman, as he fantasised about everything he could blame that man for.

Aunt May stayed with you two as the moving vans came with your stuff. She helped your dad haul in the sofas, making you realise she was stronger than most women. You had finished with the construction of your bed, having to roll your sweaters sleeves up so you didn't sweat as much.
"All done, Y/n?" May asked you as she walked into your new bedroom. You nodded.

"For now, yeah. I just need to put the mattress in, and I'm done." You smiled, getting off of your hands and knees, and dusting off your hands. May noticed your birthmark you had on the inside of your wrist.

"That's an odd place to have a birthmark! It's really unique." She complimented, and you rolled your sleeve down to cover the brown mark which was in the shape of a circle.

"Thanks. Dad says in some cultures they are worshipped" You smiled, and May beamed back, happy she had learnt new information.

"That's interesting. Did your dad travel when he was younger?" She asked.

"No. Him and my Mum had me quite young, my dad left Russia when I was born and took me to Africa for five years. All the travelling he did was with me."

You said, pulling up pictures of a five year old you with your dad, about to leave Africa. May looked at them and smiled. She didn't bring up your mother, it was one of the things Peter warned her to not say.

Peter obviously understood how it felt to loose a parent so young, and Aunt May understood too.
