I hear rustling behind me. Shit. I passed the mile mark. I knew I should've sniffed around.

I keep walking as if I didn't hear it. Then I feel a hand on my back and bite it with my teeth.
" OW!!!"
I growl.

I shift back.

" What the hell are you doing here bean?"

I Sat down on the edge of the lake and he sat down with me.

" idk just came to check on you is all." He started rubbing the bite.
" oh I'm sorry about that bean. I thought you were a griffin."
He nodded understandably.
" I get it. They want you for you blood. Makes sense."

I squint my eyes. Somethings up. I looked behind us. It's a pretty far walk from here to the house. If I got here in 20 min from running as a wolf than how did Corbyn get here in 5 just from waking. His clothes aren't even ripped. Either he was waiting here the whole time and the Corbyn at the house is fake or..... this is a fake. I need to confirm it before I start fighting.

I grab his face and smash my lips on his. He automatically kisses back and wraps his hands around my waist. Found it. I pull away.

He turned and smiled at me. I didn't smile back.
" Why are you after me?" His smile faltered.

" What are you talking about T."
I chuckled a little. He wipes his lips.

" You know I almost fell for it too. Bean were you forgetting you have a mate? You wouldn't kiss back. I was about to bring you back to the house to get your wrist fixed but then I realized, wolves heal themselves. Especially a minor injury like that bite. It should be gone by now. You don't need a doctor or.... gold blood?" His eyes flooded into a neon yellow. His fangs came out. I don't look at him surprised. I kicked my leg under him and he fell off the cliff. I looked down and waved at him. He hit the floor and his head completely shattered.

Alright I'm done with my run. I turn around and Daniel and the rest of the pack, including Corbyn is looking at me. Daniel had a snarl on his face and I chuckle.

" What?"

" How did you realize that it wasn't actually me T?"

I shrugged and started walking.
" when he touched my back I bit him. About 5 minutes passes and the bite was still there. Plus the fact that I ran here in 20 min as a wolf.  He walked and got here in 5. He also kissed back when I kissed him. " I shrug

" Yea and why did you kiss him babe."

I shift again and run back towards the house with bean next to me.
" Hey t!" He shoved me as I ran passed me and I glared at him.
" Oh it's so on Bean." I catch up with him and kick my hind legs. He tumbled over his feet and rolls forward down the hill towards our house.

I laugh and he laughs too. We finally get back to the house.

*back at the clinic*

" So you kissed him and he kissed back?"

I nodded for the 100th time.
" Alright well y'all need to get ready and Daniel get together your most dangerous and powerful pack members." The doctor started writing  shit down on a notepad.

" For what?"

He rolled his eyes and handed the piece of paper to me. All it gave us was an address.
" To go to the woman that can give you all the information you need."

He pushes us towards the door while rolling around in his chair. He handed me my phone and shoed is away.

We were walking down the hallway when we heard the door to the clinic slam open again.

" Oh and Guys!"
We turned around to him with his head peeking from the room.

" YOU HAVE A COUNCIL MEETING AT 6! You already know the elders will be expecting a lot so don't fuck up!"

Daniel and I groan. So does the rest of the crew.

" Shit."
