The same one I'd felt when I communicated with Hazel telepathically for the first time.
They were near. I could feel it.
I was so engrossed in my thoughts, that I didn't notice we'd been covered in a veil of darkness, with the only source of light being Cece's glowing blue eyes.
"Slow down."
Squinting in the light, I noticed how strange the sides of the cave looked. I didn't know exactly was it was but they seemed...off.
Will must have thought the same thing as he tapped my shoulder and pointed it out.
"Look how weird this cave is," he said, tracing his fingers along the almost perfectly curved cracked lines.
As well as perfectly cracked lines, after every third step, there was a strange small glowing red blocks. I was tempted to reach out and grab it but something told me not to.
Taking my eyes away from the strange details on the cave, I turned my attention to the stony ground. If weren't sitting on Cece's back, we wouldn't have noticed the details at all.
It was almost as if someone had purposely designed the wall like that.
I drew my attention back towards the detailed walls and counted three more steps before realising a small detail...
There was a block missing between the previous one and the latter.
"Stop!" I commanded quickly before scrambling up onto my feet. Will jumped up with me, gazing up towards the missing block.
"Why'd we stop?" Leo asked, looking up at us.
"Something's not right" I mumbled back, not really paying much attention to him.
Will looked up at where I was looking before widening his eyes.
"There's a pressure plate in this space," he whispered, trailing his fingers over it.
I stepped in front of Will and joined him to trace my finger over it.
"What's going on up?" Leo, called from where him and Vergel were still seated.
"I think I may have just found the entrance," I smirked, pushing the plate down as hard as I could.
"You? I found-" Will tried to contest but was interrupted as the ground beneath us literally began to crumble away under our feet.
Will dragged me back onto Cece's back, as we plummeted.

"Chiron did not mention finding the gate would be painful," I groaned, attempting to stand up.
I must have landed wrongly, as a hot pain shot up my arm causing me to roll over, onto my other arm.
I tried to see what lay ahead but the darkness prevented me from doing do, so I turned onto my stomach and felt around for a rock or something to latch unto, so I could stand up.
Eventually, I found one before calling out for the others.
"WILL! VERGEL! LEO! CECE!"
No one replied, so I tried again and again but still no one said anything.
Allowing my eyes to adjust to the darkness, I gazed around trying to see if I spot Cece or something, but I couldn't see anything but small pebbles and over grown weeds.
I moved my well arm up to the sides of the Cave pushing my body weight onto that side and began to move forward.
Where are they? I thought, occasionally stopping in my track to yell their names, with no success.
I couldn't tell whether I was missing or the others. It would make more sense for me to be absent but either way, I was only stuck with my thoughts (and my basically broken arm).
What am I going to do, now? Will had the ambrosia and Nectar. Leo had the bloody tools and Vergel had the fucking Hell hound, I found myself thinking.
What do I have? A broken arm, a sword I can't even use because of my broke arm and two sisters, who I haven't heard from for two days. Nice work, Nico.
Eventually, I gave up and slumped up against the wall. My arm started to hurt excessively., causing me to groan out loud.
I held it up against my chest, staring straight ahead into the darkness, eyes growing heavy.
Nice work Nico, I thought again unintentionally.
I tried to keep my eyes from shutting but I was failing miserably.
Finally, I gave up.
"Nico," a faint voice whispered in my head before a dim blue light appeared.
"NIC-!" a louder voice said.
My eyes shut.
HMM?? I WONDER THAT IS? JK, I KNOW. YOU DON'T! HAH!
