Taylor and Dee started clapping and rejoicing. I smiled on the outside but on the inside I was nervous, scared. Everybody knows the golden rule of the hood: Don't snitch because snitches get stitches.
Dee, Taylor and I drifted into conversation. They told me all the updates and what was going on in school and such. My mom left a little while ago and Rodney should be back any minute.
"Oh hell nah," Dee muttered as soon as a certain someone walked in. My slight smile turned into disgusted frown.
"What do you want, Julian?," I blandly asked. He licked his lips and sat down on the left side of the bed.
"Yeah, what do you want?," Dee repeated crossing her arms. Taylor cleared her throat after more people entered the room.
"Sorry about what happened to you. I'm praying for you," Tonya said, slowly while setting a bouquet of sunflowers in the window. Ta'Shay just stood still like a statue looking down at the ground.
"Why is that bitch here?," I spoke up. She looked up and stared at me then at Julian.
"Yeah, you shawty. Why the fuck are you here? Julian, why the fuck you brought that bitch here?!," I yelled pointing at Ta'Shay.
"You not gonna keep calling her out of her name," Julian mumbled playing with his thumbs.
"Aye, Chic-Fil-A was crowded like a motherfu-," Rodney announced but paused when he saw Julian.
"Why would you bring her knowing damn well she don't like her. This is the ultimate disrespect. On bro," Dee snapped walking towards Julian.
"Get out my face," Julian said through a clenched jaw. Taylor then started arguing with Ta'Shay causing the nurse to give all the visitors a warning.
"Fuck it. I'm out. Y'all are too ghetto for my liking, anyways," Ta'Shay spat grabbing the flowers out of the windowsill and throwing them on the floor. "Julian I'll be outside the room when you're ready."
"What the fuck is that bitch's problem, dawg?," Tonya mumbled, picking the flowers back up and watching her leave.
"Niggas can't control their bitch. That's the problem," Rodney spoke up taking a sip of his lemonade.
I was fuming on the inside but I didn't want to prove to Julian that him being with Ta'Shay was my weakness.
"Bitch? Remember when your bitch turned into mine?," Julian replied bucking up to Rodney.
"Bitch? I'm a bitch now? Was I a bitch when I was pregnant with your child and lost it?," I snapped letting tears fall. The whole room went silent as everyone looked at each other.
"Can I get a minute alone with Loyalty?," Julian asked everyone politely. Dee crossed her arms, Taylor looked down at the ground, Tonya looked out the window, and Rodney was munching on his Chic-Fil-A nuggets.
"Can I PLEASE get a minute!," Julian yelled stomping his foot.
"It's okay," l approved. Everyone, in a matter of seconds, exited the room but Rodney didn't leave without his Chic-Fil-A.
Julian patiently waited until the door closed and slowly walked over to me.
He opened his mouth to say something but instead I was the one who spoke up.
"Miss me with the bullshit and the lies because you don't care about me," I sobbed into my hands.
"Loyalty, stop crying please," he pleaded pulling me close.
"What happened to you not going anywhere? What happened to you saying you were going to kill anybody that hurts me but you weren't there. You were laid up with that bitch! She saw me suffering and didn't say a thing! That's the type of girl you want! You got with her of all people you got me looking crazy!," I shrieked letting tears fall.
"I got you looking crazy? You? You kissed Rodney, you almost had sex with your best friend and you're running around with your ex, again making me feel some type of way," he argued letting me go and pounding his fist.
"And I owned up to it! I never hid nothing from you and you claimed it was too much for you? Are you serious?"
"Yeah, you told me everything except how you was carrying my seed then lost it, huh?"
I took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. We were doing so bad at that time, my fathers birthday was coming up, I lost my friend. I was hurting I just wanted to let everything go," I explained wiping my tears. He nodded his head leaning toward me. His lips slowly pressed against mine and more tears fell because I knew it wasn't real. He just felt sorry for me. I don't want nobody feeling sorry for me.
I pushed him away and a confused look fell upon his face. "What's wrong?," he asked stroking my cheek.
"Everything is wrong. Your new bitch is sitting out there and you're kissing on me because I told you a sob story? Just leave, Julian because we can't work on us if you have her. What the hell do you even see in her?!," I asked rage taking over my emotions.
"Why the fuck you gotta be so insecure?," Julian questioned taking off his hat and throwing it on the floor.
"You were the only boy I've dated that made me believe I was beautiful. Now, you're with Ta'Shay and what you say to her was what you said to me. You got this hoe thinking she's competition," I explained.
"She ain't got nothing on you. She's just something to fill that hurt. She's just a distraction but I wanna be with you," he told me.
"Get the fuck out. Don't visit me no more. I don't want no flowers, no candy, nothing. Enjoy you're distraction because I'm not gonna wait for you to man up," I sternly said. He nodded his head slowly, picked up his hat and exited.
I'm not about to look like a fool for nobody. Period.
-I'm blessing y'all with these updates tho....
