Dinner with the Squad - part 2 ~26

We jump out of the car and enter the large restaurant. Jason and heath start up conversation about something or other. I let them lead ahead of us as I slow down a bit to talk to Scotty.

"Hey did you bring the spare key" I say but only loud enough for us to hear.

"Yeah" he says sounding a little down but he keeps the same level of volume knowing the importance of the conversation.

"Good," I say "hey can I ask you something"

"Shoot" he says

"I've noticed something about you when your around Jason your different, you look like when you first met Kristen. I need to ask what's your sexuality."

"I well... I ah.... Don't really... You know... Tell people this but ah... I'm bi... I found out when I started having feelings for Jason." He says extremely nervous, choking on words everywhere.

I smile at him.

"It good that your discovering a new part of yourself and I'm extremely accepting but what are you going to do about Kristen." I say.

"I don't know. It weird cause I don't get excited with her anymore and she knows that and I think she feels the same way. But I can't just dump her cause I have gay thoughts about Jason she'll be heartbroken and she'll hate Jason and we can't have that." He says sounding stressed out. I put an arm around his shoulder and give him a half side hug and he turns it into an actual hug.

"Just disguise it" I say as I return the hug "sit her down when you feel like its the perfect moment and tell her that you are bi and you want to explore this new side if you. I'm sure she'll understand."

He looks up and half smiles at me and we head over to the table that Heath and Jason were guided to. We sat down at the massive table and waited for everyone to arrive while looking at the menu.

"All the food and drinks are on me" I say and we all smile...
