Liz and The Titan's Curse

Chapter One

I open my eyes. I never had a night without a dream before. I get up and dust myself off. Zoë hands me clothes. I duck into a tent and change into a sky blue tight shirt, skinny jeans, and a pair of black high heel boots. When I'm dressed, Zoë comes in and, no matter how much I complain, braid my hair to the side with gold ribbon intertwined with my hair. I thank her and had outside. It is still dark out. Apollo is lazy during winter. I walk over to my friends.

"Someone looks like she is expecting someone she loves," Percy teases me. I punch his shoulder. He laughs.

"Look away while he parks," Artemis tells everyone. I close my eyes. I can feel the warmth from his car radiate towards me. Before I can open my eyes, I feel someone kissing me. I open my eyes to see the familiar sky blue eyes starting back at me. I wrap my arms around his neck. Someone clears their throat. We finally pull away. Artemis and Zoë are giving us a look of disgust.

"Get use to it little sister," Apollo says. Here we go again.

"I'm not your little sister," Artemis states. This is their usual meeting.

"Hey, I was born first."

"We're twins!" Artemis states.

"What ever. What's up?" Apollo asks her. "Need tips on archery?"

"I need you to do me a favor," Artemis states. "I need you take everyone to Camp Half-blood."

"Sure sis," he says. "I feel a haiku coming on."

The hunters and I groan. He does that a lot.

"Green grass breaks through snow,

Artemis pleads for my help,

I am so cool."

"That last line was only four," I inform him.

"How about I am so big-headed?" Artemis suggests.

"No, that's six," Apollo says. He actually considered it. "I got it. I am so awesome. That's five."

I roll my eyes. He walks off to his car.

"He is hot," Thalia states.

"He is the god of the Sun," Percy says. I punch him for that. I walk up to his cherry red Maserati.

"When did you change sports cars?" I ask him.

"Right before you died," he replies quietly. I look down at that statement. I try to avoid taking about it.

"You died?" Bianca, Nico's older sister and newest Hunter asks. I nod my head. Apollo pulls me closer to him.

"And that is why I don't like you doing stupid things," he informs me. I smile at him.

"Like I'm not going to do stupid things," I say.

"I'm not going to stop you from doing stupid things, am I?" he asks.

"Nope," Percy says, popping the p. I laugh.

"Cool car," Nico says, changing the subject. "But how are we all going to fit in this?"

"I hate taking this out of sports car form," Apollo says. He presses a button. The car changes into a bus. Everyone starts to pile in. Zoë grab a bag

"Let me get that for you sweetheart," Apollo says to her.

"You do not help, look at, talk to, or flirt with my hunters. And don't call them sweetheart." Artemis yells at him.

"Sorry," he says. "What are you hunting?"

"None of your business."

"I will find out. I see all. Know all," he replies.

"That sounds really creepy," I tell him. He laughs a little.

"Don't mess around," Artemis tells him.

"When do I mess around?" Apollo asks. Before I can answer, he says, "Don't answer."

I laugh. He grabs my hand and pulls me on the bus. I sit down.

"Who wants to drive?" he offers. He looks at me.

"No," I tell him. He laughs.

"Me," Nico shouts.

"Too young," Apollo says.

"Ooh, ooh," Grover says as he raises his hand.

"To furry," Apollo states. "Thalia. You have to try. You the daughter of Zeus, so he won't blow us out of the sky. And you're nineteen, turning twenty in three days."

She gets up and moves to the driver seat. Apollo tells her how to work it. The bus moves forward so fast that I hit my head in the seat in front of me. Apollo goes flying back. Once we are in air, Apollo sits next to me. He grabs my hand. I lean my head in his shoulder.

"A little lower sweetheart," he tells Thalia.

"Do you think it is a good idea?" Percy asks.

"She is... Whoa," Apollo says. I look out the window. New England is on fire. Apollo goes up front an get her to lift us up. He tries to tell her how to land.

"I got it," she says. We fall and land in the lake. Steam goes around us. I look at Thalia. Sweat covers her face. Her knuckles are white. The does open. Everyone walks out except for Apollo and I. He leans in and kisses me. I kiss him back, running my fingers through his hair.

"You two act like you are already married," I hear. I turn around to see it's Mr.D. He points to the entrance. I kiss Apollo again quickly and walk off the bus. The bus turns into a car. The passenger window rolls down.

"You want to come?" Apollo asks.

"She has training," Mr.D says before I can answer. Apollo and I say our goodbyes and he drives off.

"What is your problem?" I ask Mr.D.

"Your mother told me to make sure you actually train and that I should watch you," he says. I groan. I ignore the crowd forming around us.

"You are acting like a teenager," he states.

"News flash, I am a teenager," I inform him. I know you should never anger an Olympian, but he is getting on my nerves. Before he could say anything else, I storm off. I should choose stuff for myself.
