Olivia:
"How are you?" Shayne asked.
"I'm fine, you?" I said.
"I guess I'm alright" He said.
"I was just wondering if you were uh going to the party tonight?" I said fidgeting.
"I wasn't going to, too much people" He said.
"Oh..." I said a little disappointed.
"Why? Were you going to go?" He asked.
"I don't know, I really only know two people here" I said.
"You should go, make some friends" Shayne said.
"I don't know, people usually don't wanna be friends with me" I said gazing down.
"Anybody would be lucky to be your friend" He replied.
"Really?" I said looking up.
"Yeah, you're an awesome person who deserves the world" He said.
I could've sworn I saw him blush. Was my mind just imagining things?
"Thanks Shayne" I said smiling.
"Don't forget to let me know how it went" Shayne said picking up his phone.
"I don't have any clothes for a party though" I said.
I was just wearing jeans and a speed racer t-shirt. My hair was in a messy ponytail and my glasses were a little big.
"You look fine to me" He said.
"I don't know" I replied nervously.
"Here" Shayne said.
Shayne came up to me and slowly took off my glasses. He reached behind me and undid my ponytail so my hair fell onto my back.
"There" He said stepping back.
He showed me what I looked like on his phone camera. I looked like a completely different person. I felt a little more confident too.
"How do I look?" I asked wanting a second opinion.
"You uh... you uh... You look beautiful" Shayne said stuttering.
"Thanks Shayne" I said and gave him a quick hug.
"I'll see you later" He said.
"Wait, what's your new phone number? I forgot to ask you last time I saw you" I asked.
"Oh, here" He said taking my phone.
He punched in his new contact info. He handed me my phone back and smiled.
"I'll be sure to tell you how it goes" I said.
"Knock em dead" Shayne said with finger guns.
I said goodbye to Shayne and walked downstairs. Here goes nothing I thought as I walked to the party with my new look. It was kinda blurry without my glasses but I could manage before putting them back on later. If not I had contacts in my pocket in case I ever lost my glasses. I saw a familiar face and decided to talk to her.
