My vision becomes completely clear all of the sudden. I see two yellow double lines running up under me. I'm in the middle of the road. Maybe, just maybe I have a chance at living. Maybe, if someone sees me and its not those men, i'll wake up in a comfy bed at a hospital. I'll live, and i'll be able to avenge my father. I lay my head on the cold road, running my fingers across the yellow lines. Next thing I know, my vision blurs once more and there's a ringing in my ears. Excruciating pain burns through my body from my toes to my head, leaving me shaking and gasping for air. I roll over onto my back, soaking in my own blood as my vision slowly descends to white. I hear a motorcycle coming my way, but I am too weak to move. The last thing I see is the sky moving, indicating that i'm being dragged.
---------
"Sir, she's waking up." An unfamiliar british voice calls out.
I flutter my eyes, being blinded by the light that dangles above me. Once my eyes finally adjust to the light I jump up. Tubes in my arm rip out as I move.
"Shit!" The pain from everything kicks in, his time its not as bad, but it still hurts.
Am I in the hospital? I ask myself as I look around. No, I'm in a damn cave. Memories of earlier flood in my mind. That man in the mask, the one I call anonymous-his men must've found me on the road and dragged me here. Some place where I can't jump out of window, where I can't just escape that easily. I look down at my wrists. They're not tied down, surprisingly. Do they want me to escape?
Now that voice. Where did it come from? It sounded like it was in this room, well, cave. Whoever it belonged to has disappeared. Taking my left leg and sweeping it over my right, I climb off the noisy bed i'm on. I'm in some sort of blue hospital gown, but this is obviously not a hospital. Wierd. Cautiously, I take a few steps from the bed while looking around for anything. My feet make no noise on this cold, hard ground as I walk lighter than usual. I spot a full body mirror, with a desk containing many medical tools beside it. Walking towards it, I gasp at my appearance. Theres a deep gash on my forehead, my lip is busted, theres a bloody wrap around my upper arm, and another on my other. My dark blonde hair is messier than ever. I look like shit. I lift up my gown to reveal a stitched up, red gash on my stomach from the glass that went through me. Out of shock I quickly throw my gown back down and grab the scalpel from the medical desk, hurriedly exiting that area.
A dim, blue light illuminates the large cave as I patter through it. A bunch of bats above me screech, scaring the fuck out of me. My eyebrows furrow as I find a staircase. Taking a deep, shaky breath I walk the stairs.
"Holy..fuck.." I mumble to myself.
Computers. Very BIG ones. All lined up together on the cave wall., showing footage from security cameras, sonars, and some random files I have no business looking at. I look down, noticing that i'm not on the cold hard cave ground anymore. Instead i'm on some sort of warm, light up floor that has a big symbol of a bat in the middle.
"Training, activated." A robotic female voice speaks, making me freeze in place.
What the hell does that mean? I look around waiting for something to happen. The sound of a chain jiggling above me catches my attention. Well, shit. There's a giant punching bag about to fall on me. Move! I mentally yell at myself, side rolling out of the way.
"Okay, leaving now." I exit the platform in a rush.
Silently, I walk on the lower level of the cave, checking my surroundings. As I near a gigantic door I hear the sound of water falling. An exit, finally. Must lead to the outside, considering the falling water. I trail my hands across the wall, while I make my way to what I guess is the button that opens that thing. I reach my aching arm out to press it when I hear a noise behind me. Sounds like a soda can rolling. I turn around and go investigate, gripping my scalpel tightly.
"What do you plan on doing with a scalpel?" A deep voice says from behind me.
I freeze in my tracks, turning around to face whoever it is only to bump into a muscular body. My eyes slowly wander up the tall body until I almost have to tilt my head back. My blue eyes meet green ones that are staring at me through a red mask.
He has plain light blue jeans on, a tan shirt, a black and red leather jacket, and black tall boots. His hair is black with a grey strip that falls over his forehead perfectly, bringing out his emerald eyes even more.
Wait.
Why am I taking in the sights? For all I know he could be a goon for anonymous, or just a random psychopath who happened to see me dying and wanted me to suffer longer.
I back up slowly, getting ready to attack when I bump into yet another muscular body. Shit! Turning around to face this other body, I bite my lower lip.
This guy looks even scarier than the first one. He had a mask that covered everything but his mouth, and he had ears like those of a bat. His cape was black and draped across his body, leaving nothing but his mouth and white glowing eyes showing.
