"Yes."
"Uhm," Jinyoung said, peaking at the bag of food Jisoo brought. "Home Run Ball aren't as messy to eat as hamburgers..."
Jisoo threw a pack of Jinyoung favorite snack at him. He barely caught it and he cheered under his breath.
"You're such a child," Jisoo said as she tucked a napkin under his shirt as well. "Eat your hamburger while it's warm.
. . .
Jisoo was watching the fan meeting from the dressing room's TV. The boys were having so much fun with their Ahgases that she couldn't help but smile. They goofed around, sang their songs with switched parts, and interacted with their fans so well.
She couldn't help but feel a surge of pride for Jinyoung. He and the boys worked so hard for what they have now. They steady growth in their careers was very impressive.
Jisoo laughed as Jinyoung teased Jackson about his latest solo song.
"Let's do a little throwback," Mark added. "I'm feeling like a Papilloooooon."
"Ayt, ayt, ayt," Jinyoung continued.
The fans laughed and Jackson stood up from his seat, pretending to be annoyed.
"Wait, wait, wait," he said. "I have a question for my Ahgases."
The audience cheered and clapped. From the faces of the other members, Jisoo could tell that this wasn't part of the script. Yugyeom, the MC, was looking at his cue cards confusedly. Suddenly, her chest tightened and she felt nervous.
"So this is my question," Jackson continued. "Does anyone here know Blackpink?"
Oh no.
"Blackpink in your areaaaaaaa."
Outside, Jisoo could hear the fans cheering loudly. However, inside the quiet dressing room, her heart was pounding like crazy.
I need to get out of here, Jisoo thought. But for some reason, she couldn't leave her seat - couldn't tear her eyes away from the screen.
The cameras focused on Jinyoung's face. He was hiding it behind his hands, but she could tell he was smiling from the way his eyes were crinkling at the corners and his red ears.
"Okay, okay, I have another one," Jackson said, pausing for effect. "Does anyone here know the show We Got Married?"
The cheers were louder, almost deafening. "Do you want me to bring my favorite soon-to-be sister-in-law on stage?"
Jisoo barely had time to gather her things to leave when Jackson burst into the dressing room and pulled her with him.
"Jackson, I am so going to kill you!"
There were so many things running through Jisoo's mind. First, she was glad she put on lip tint at least. She was glad she blow-dried her hair. Her clothes were a total mess - she wore a large, black shirt over a pink long-sleeved shirt and leggings. She looked like she wag going to dance practice, and not the kind that were filmed.
Jackson pulled her from the right side of the stage and left her there and the lights on stage blinded her. The cheers were deafening, almost enough to drown the pounding in her heart. She was so flustered she hid her face behind her hands.
She felt someone grab her hands, tearing them away from her face. Jinyoung. He was laughing shyly, looking apologetically at her. He gave her a hug, hiding her face from the crowd. The crowd got louder, if it was even possible.
"I am so sorry," he said.
"It's okay," she whispered back. "You owe me."
"Ya, hyung!" Yugyeom and Bambam came running towards them, breaking their moment. Bambam put his arm around Jisoo and led her to the center of the stage where bird-shaped bean bags were placed.
"Please take a seat, noona," Yugyeom said. "Other than being graced with the presence of Jinyoung-hyung's fiance, we also have two great MCs with us! I am kind of pressured and nervous."
Jinyoung gave Jisoo a mic and she thanked him, smiling. She waved at the crowd and bowed her head.
"Annyeong haseyo," she said. "I'm sorry I interrupted your program but thank you for having me."
"Jinyoung-ah," Jackson said, "You never introduced Jisoo to the Ahgases. They're very welcoming and warm, right?"
The crowd cheered in agreement.
Jinyoung took her hand in his and let her to the front of the stage.
"Ahgases," Jinyoung said with the mic. "This is my fiance, Kim Jisoo. Please treat her well."
Jisoo was smiling shyly, not looking him in the eye.
"Can we ask a Jisoo-noona a few things?" Yungjae asked. "She's very kind - she brought us burgers backstage."
"One question each," Jinyoung said.
"Let me start, let me start," Yugyeom said. "Noona, how do you stand Jinyoung-hyung?"
Jisoo laughed as Jinyoung chased after Yugyeom.
"Don't answer that," Jinyoung said. "Next question."
"Who's your favorite member?" Youngjae asked.
Before Jinyoung could react, Jisoo pointed at Youngjae. "Youngjae! He's very polite and bright."
"How about me?" Jinyoung asked, frowning.
"You're okay," Jisoo said. "Tolerable."
"What do you love most about Jinyoung?" Jackson asked. He screamed after asking his question, diving under the bean bags.
Jisoo smiled shyly and looked at Jinyoung. She decided to answer seriously and truthfully. "I love that he works hard. I love that he loves Ahgases so much. I love that he has such a nice family," she said, gesturing to the boys.
The crowd erupted in cheers and claps.
Bambam, ever so mischievous, asked. "Does he make your heart flutter?"
Jisoo felt the heat rise up her face. Jinyoung marched over to Bambam and spanked him on the butt, leaving her to smile and blush on her own. However, she didn't want to lose and make herself fluster. "Yes, he does," she said, "but I think I make his flutter more."
Jinyoung looked back in shock at her, his expression a mix of embarrassment and anger. Jisoo laughed as he chased her across the stage, threatening her with the mic he was holding.
"Ay," Jackson said. "This is too sweet for me. Mark-hyung, do you have anything to say?"
"Ah, yes," Mark said, laughing. "Well, I personally think Jisoo is the right kind of girl for Jinyoung. She doesn't back down from his bullying -"
"I'm not a bully - "
"- and she keeps him in place. She's kind to us and she brings us food."
"Right, right," Yugyeom said, suddenly remembering that he's the fan meeting's MC. "How about you, Jaebum-hyung? Anything to say or ask?"
"Not much," he said. "I want to say something to Jinyoung, actually."
"Oooooooooh."
"Jinyoung-ah," Jaebum said. "Although this is for a show, you've been exposed to what it takes to become a husband. I already know how caring and kind you can be, so I ask you to give Jisoo that side of you. Treat her with kindness and tenderness - that's what a real man would do."
"Wow, Jaebum-hyung is so serious," Yugyeom commented, and Bambam snickered.
Jisoo smiled brightly at Jaebum and thanked him.
"Lastly, is there anything you want to say to Jisoo, Jinyoung-hyung?"
Jisoo couldn't meet his eyes. Her knees felt weak and she swears she's floating on air.
"Sooya," he started, calling her by his nickname for her. "Even though we're not married yet, I want to make this promise for you in front of my family."
The crowd erupted with "Aws" and cheers, but Jisoo could only focus on the man in front of her.
"I may joke, I may glare at you all the time," he continued, taking her hand. "But know deep in my heart I care for you. What I said in the letter is still true - that I will cherish you and love you the way a husband would."
Jisoo froze and couldn't find the words to say, but luckily, Jinyoung turned towards the crowd.
"Ahgases, find yourself a man like me. All men except for Oppa are dogs!"
Got7 laughed and cheered. Bambam ran to the couple and enveloped them in a hug, and the rest of the boys followed suit, squishing Jinyoung and Jisoo.
"WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, KIM JISOO!"
