The Screaming

After my encounter with her I had gone to bed and woke up at around 2pm to screaming. I automatically knew what was happening. I laid on a tan sheeted bed in one of their many guest rooms until the screaming stopped and I heard a door slam. I went into the entry hallway of the house to see Harry sitting against the door with his head in his hands with Louis and Zayn sitting beside him attempting to comfort the shaking man. Out the window I could see her climbing into a cab with a suitcase, her hair a mess of pretty waves down her back, with the white night gown flowing on top a pair of faded jeans.

"What's going on?" I had asked even though I already knew. She did what she said she had: she's going home.

"She's gone. She told me that she didn't want to be together anymore. She said she didn't like people talking about her, and watching what she does. Apparently, she couldn't handle it anymore and that she was sorry. She said that the divorce papers would be here in a few days. Divorce papers- can you believe that? Divorce. I'm getting divorced." Harry had softly moaned as more tears streamed out of his eyes. Part of me was happy, the other part was sad. I never thought that she would leave him. Not in a million years. I guess she knew what we both did: Harry could get over it. He would be able to move on in a few weeks to someone new. It wouldn't be difficult for him. Girls are all over him all the time. I had still felt bad though. I knew what it felt like to have your chance with her taken away. I went over to him and hugged him, and he hugged me back. At least this told me that she didn't tell him about my undying love for her. At least I could still be Harry's friend. I could feel Zayn's eyes boaring into the side of my head. He too knew what had just occured and why it had happened. I ignored his stare as Harry cried softly. I let his tears soak my shirt as I patted his back. At that moment, I let thoughts of her go and decided to be there for him until he found someone new. Now matter how long that could take. I had just hoped it wasn't as long as it seemed to be.
