Friends and (Former) Lovers Chapter 23

Jungkook's grip on Jimin's hand becomes like a vice yet neither Jimin's expression changes with the incredible pain his hand is in nor Jungkook's as he clamps down.  Taemin goes in and hugs Jimin again.

"It really is good to see you again Jimin.  Fucking hot as always.  Let me know if you wanna quick fuck while you're in town.  Just ditch the infant."  Taemin whispers in to Jimin's ear.  Jimin's spine is the one that goes ram-rod straight this time with no response to the statement.  "Chungkook?  Nice to meet you."  He says half-heartedly.  Jungkook continues to look at Taemin with daggers in his eyes.  Taemin turns to walk away turning enough for Jimin to see as he winks and blows a kiss his direction.

Once Taemin is out of the picture Jimin grabs his hand.  "Ouch, Jungkook! What the fuck was that for? You hurt my hand." Jimin says rubbing it.

"Oh, I'm sorry hyung but that guy is a fucking jack-wad!"  Jungkook says. "And it's JUNG-kook, ass-wipe!"

"Aegiya, it's okay.  It's just Taemin. That's how he is."  Jimin says trying to comfort Jungkook.

"I don't give a fuck how he is, I'm standing right here next to you, holding your hand and he's acting like I wasn't here at all.  He's an ass-hat and lucky I didn't fucking punch him.  By the way what did he say just before he left that made you stiffen?"

"Oh, uh...nothing.  It must have been his breath on my ear or neck or something.  It was just startling he got so close." Jimin says.  Jungkook doesn't buy it completely.

"Is he the one?"  Jungkook asks.

"The one what?"  Jimin asks back.  "The one I was with when my Dad caught us?"  Jungkook nods the affirmative.

"Um, well...yes he was the one."  Jimin looks down as he tells Jungkook.

Instead of going to Radium, Jungkook decides they will go the the Busan Museum of Modern Art instead.  Jimin does not argue in the least but he sure doesn't tell Jungkook that he and Taemin have been there before either.  Although, intensely irritated by Taemin today Jungkook relaxes and tries to remember Jimin is with him not that arrogate asshole.  Jimin drags Jungkook to an area where they are having an exhibit on post-impressionist Korean artists.  They walk through the museum talking in the quiet whispers reserved for libraries and museums but honestly, Jimin and Jungkook have barely said two words after Jimin confirmed that Taemin was the one Jimin was caught in bed by his Dad.  Jungkook hasn't let go of Jimin's hand the whole time as if letting go will make Jimin disappear.  They just quietly enjoy the museum while settling their thoughts on the events of earlier.

"Let's go."  Jungkook says quietly.  Jimin doesn't argue.  They get into Jimin's car and head over to Haeundae Beach to the restaurant they have reservations at.  Neither say a word the entire drive and Jimin is starting to feel uncomfortable.  When they get to the restaurant, they leave the car with the valet.  This is the first time that Jungkook does not open the car door for Jimin.  He leaves it for the valet.  Jungkook just walks to the door of the restaurant and waits for Jimin to catch up.  He does hold the door and once inside...

"We have reservations for two please under Jeon."  Jungkook says.

"Oh, yes...fine.  Come with me please."  The hostess says.  They follow her to a table that is in a secluded corner.  There are only a few tables like this in the restaurant.  They were made for more intimate dinner settings.

"Gentlemen."  As she waves them to take seats.  "May I get you something to drink?"  She offers.

"Yes, thank you.  I'll have a Merlot please, house is fine."  Jimin says.

"I'll have an Asahi tall."  Jungkook says matter of factly.

"Okay, I'll be back in a moment with your orders."  She says politely and walks off.
