I search around in the darkness with my new senses. It's all dark; nothing to see. Pop. A small flame of light appeared to my right. I can make out a figure by it. I move closer and then I hear a voice, "You're no longer a star Constance, you are dead." I could see the figure and hear him but I wasn't there. He was somewhere else entirely, I realized it was only an image I was seeing not him in person. His shape morphed constantly, he was everything and nothing all at once, almost too fast to even make out any looks to describe him.
Where are we? I couldn't help but think, which this being could somehow hear.
"I expect you to know by now that we are not in the same place," he replied in a wise manner, "You are in a black hole, which was created when you died. In many ways you are the black hole."
Who are you?
"That is not important. We are here to discuss you. From now on, you will live on a life harboring planet. You may Choose any planet with life." The figure said and at the same time images started passing through my mind.
I saw a smaller star than I was which many planets orbited around. Like I used to have. So naturally I choose Earth, the only life harboring planet in this solar system. The Sun, this star wasn't actually going to turn into a black hole like I did. I couldn't actually tell the figure my choice, but I had thoughts somehow.
Earth.
"Great choice, Constance. You will now live your life as the dominant life form on Earth. A human. You are not aware of the whole gender thing, so I'll choose that for you. You are now an infant human girl."
I thought I was a star, or a black hole?
"Constance, I have told you, you are no longer a star."
And with that my last bit of happiness was gone.

Am I really not human? Carson's words bounced around my head, like a bullet. I gave him the money and he searched my pockets and my purse to see if I was hiding any money, like he does every time since he found out that I take most of it.
I walk towards the ladder that leads up to the second floor where I sleep. I sat down on my cot with a sleeping bag laid on top. No one sleeps upstairs, they claim it's creepy, but I like it, I sleep next to a window so I have a view of the sky and what very few stars you can see from here.
Carson's words weaseled its way back into my thoughts which was temporarily diverted as I gazed up at the sky. Am I not a human if I can't feel? If I'm not a star, or a human, then what am I? Am I nothing? The thought brought on a wave of emotion. I felt my throat start to burn and let my body naturally do what it wanted.
Tears streaked silently down my face, as I looked up into the sky. If this is what it felt like to feel, I'm not sure I want to feel.
A soft scuffle of feet alerted me to somebody's presence. Hastily I wiped my tears from my face, and rubbed my eyes.
"Why do you always sleep up here?"
Carson. Did he follow me here? And how does he know I always sleep up here? Did he see me crying? He's never found me before.
"I don't know, I don't like being around everyone I guess." I rested my chin on the window beside me.
"Well you should sleep downstairs with everyone else, it's not safe to sleep up here alone." He crossed his arms.
"I am perfectly capable of protecting myself." I said coldly. He looked at me for a moment then laughed.
"Oh really?" He laughed again. I want to burn him so badly that I had to stop myself right there from heating up. "You couldn't even take down me."
"If I really had to I could." I snapped. I can burn him any time I want- of course I don't really have much light left... But a burn isn't too much light to use up...
He sighed "Would you please just sleep downstairs with everyone else?" He said with a weary look.
"No I'm fine here." I snapped again and I got in my sleeping bag and buried my head. I like it up here, I don't wanna sleep down there with those idiots.
He sighed again "I didn't wanna have to do this..." I peeked out from my sleeping bag and saw him bending down. I groaned. He picked me up in my sleeping bag and threw me over his shoulder. "Caleb, come to the ladder!" He called down. I saw Caleb's messy hair cone into view at the bottom. He waved at me flirtatiously. Which caused me to roll my eyes.
I squirmed around, but Carson didn't even struggle a little to keep his hold on me.
"How exactly are you gonna get me down the ladder? I'm not getting on your back, so you can just take me back to where I was trying to sleep." I said impatiently.
He grinned, as he stood over the large hole in the floor where the ladder was placed. "Caleb catch!" He threw me over the edge. I closed my eyes and screamed. I should have burned him, it would've been worth it. I opened my eyes and to my surprise, Caleb had caught me in his surprisingly strong arms. Carson was throwing all my stuff through the hole.
I glared at Carson and he laughed. Caleb set me down. "I don't want to sleep downstairs, I want to sleep upstairs." I said expressionless.
"Too bad." Carson and Caleb said in unison. I got up and took my stuff to the corner of the room where there were the least amount of people. There was no window. I laid down my stuff and got in my sleeping bag.
Next thing I know Nick was dragging me across the floor to the center where almost everyone was. I groaned once again. I popped my head out of the sleeping bag. "What?" I said blandly.
"This is where you should be sleeping, it's where all the higher ranks sit Constance!" Charlie said, he was ranked 5 or something and even more annoying then the rest of them. I looked around.
"I'm the only girl here." I said.
"Yeah... Most of them are sleeping." Caleb said. He laughed.
"Like I should and want to be doing" I said irritated. "In fact, I'll do that right now. Unless anybody else would like to bug me some more," I snapped.
Nick and some of the other guys let out short laughs, "You're funny, You can try to sleep, but good luck." He laughed again.
I laid my head down on my pillow and buried myself again. I tried to fall asleep but it was too loud.
Why won't they shut up? It's 2am or something! I sat up. I felt myself heating up but I didn't care.
"Shut up." I said. And right when I said that my sleeping bag caught on fire. Everyone screamed. I didn't care if they saw I am flame resistant. I tried to fall asleep again but my sleeping bag was burnt to nothing. I sighed. I looked around me. Carson was standing at my feet with a fire extinguisher.
"What was that?!" He exclaimed.
I shrugged "I don't know." I said trying to sound as scared and confused.
He stared down at me confused. "No burns...?" It was just then, at that moment, that I realized what I had done.
