I slipped my postcard into the mailing bin and turned back on my heel, heading back upstairs to warn Paul. We may not be on the best of terms but the last thing we all need on the day before our break, is drama and tension.
I made my way down the hall and knocked on Paul's room door. I waited and looked at the elevators, praying to god the red headed demon wouldn't appear.
Paul answered the door, his smile fading as he looked at me. "What d'you want?"
"Jane is downstairs. I saw her as I was mailing my postcard. She's probably on her way up here now."
He froze and nodded. "Fucking hell why is she.. Okay well. Thanks I guess." He closed the door in my face but seconds later, opened it again, leaning over and kissed my cheek then went back inside. I just stared at the door but smiled to myself making my way back to my room.

As the evening passed, Jane seemed to make it her number one goal to make me feel as uncomfortable as one could. It worked for a little while as we sat backstage, waiting for the guys who were out on stage. I was writing when I felt someone sit next to me. I looked over to see the other Journalist Paul was talking to.
"Hi." I smiled.
"Hello." She answered giving me a warm smile. She was even more beautiful up close. Her big brown eyes, her blonde hair flowing over her shoulders, her pouty lips lightly pink from the small amount of lipstick. Christ I think I was falling for her.
"You're the New York journalist aren't you?" She asked.
"Yes. That'd be me. Lucy Daniels." I said extending my hand out. She smiled and took it, shaking it.
"Michelle Peri."
"Oh wow. Michelle is my middle name. It sounds so much better in your voice though. Where are you from?"
"Well I'm originally from Paris. But ever since I was twelve, I lived in Michigan."
"Oh really? That's different." I laughed. "I knew you had to be foreign by your accent."
"You have an accent as well. I noticed most New Yorkers have a certain way of talking. What part?"
"Brooklyn. I lived in Liverpool, England for a few years. Which is where I met those goofballs out there."
She giggled and looked down. "So you've known them for quite some time yes?"
I nodded. "Yeah. We've been through a lot."
I noticed Jane glaring at us as we talked. She couldn't stand it. I know she noticed Paul talking to Michelle a few times since she's been here. And to be honest, he seemed happier.
"I can see why Paul likes you. You're so friendly and sweet. A breath of fresh air to be honest."
She blushed and looked over at Jane. "I dunno. I mean all I am is some Journalist and her...well she's flawless."
"Yeah but, she has a black heart." I whispered. We laughed which just made Jane look even more upset.
"So Jane. Are you sticking around? Or are you just here to spy on Lennon to gossip to Cyn about what's going on?" I asked lighting a cigarette. She rolled her eyes and ignored me.
"Ouch. You know I knew redheads were fiesty but, you're just a bitch."
"How dare you call me that! Look who's talking! The homewrecker who broke up a loving marriage!"
"Me a homewrecker!? John wasn't happy with Cynthia! He despised her! She trapped him into a marriage and life he wasn't ready for. I'd get the facts straight before you start running that mouth of yours hun."
"Fuck off. God knows you spend most of your time on your back anyways." She smirked.
"That's it." I said flicking my cigarette and lunging at her, slapping her hard across the face.
"Get off me!" Jane yelled as she shoved me off and pulled my hair. I scratched her arms and kicked her off me. We wrestled on the ground as Michelle yelled for help.
Just then, the music outside finished and the guys came back into the room. I felt arms pull me off of Jane as she was pulled away as well.
"What the hell is going on!?" Paul yelled as Jane huffed, wiping the blood off her cheek.
"That whore over there! Ask her!"
"You don't even know me enough to call me that! You're just pissed off because I tell it like it is!"
"Lucy shhh. Calm down love." John whispered in my ear. I sighed and pulled away, grabbing my things as John and George walked away with me.
Once we were out of earshot from the others, John was the first to break the silence.
"Holy fucking hell did ye see her face!? You completely bashed her in!"
"Ye bashed 'er in like a punching bag! And look, not one scratch on ye!" George laughed. I couldn't help smiling to myself as we made our way into one of the waiting vehicles.
"Off to the nearest pub please. I think our girl 'ere deserves a drink more than us" John smirked, kissing my cheek.
