We ran into each other in the hotel lobby. The closing dinner had just finished. "I've been looking all over for you." He said. "I'm sorry I couldn't speak to you the last two days. Is your flight tomorrow?"
"Juhyuk, thank you for everything, but I already have plans for tomorrow." I lied.
"I want you to stay with me for two more nights." He whispered in my ear. He was so close I could smell his cologne.
"Why would I do that?" You put me in so much pain. I'm not falling for this again.
"I can't explain right now. Meet me at the beach bar in 10 minutes. Please. I really need to see you." He left. I pondered what I should do next. I ended up going to the bar although I hated myself for it.
He saw me walking towards the bar, and smiled.

"I know you are upset. I'm so sorry. I have something to tell you. I got divorced recently. I didn't want to burden you with, what do they call it in English?"
"Emotional baggage?"
"Yes, that's it. And then I realized, this might be the last time I see you, and I know I will regret it for the rest of my life." He continued.
"There is a beach near here called Buzios. I've rented a small beach house there. It's secluded."
"I just met you. I can't just change my plans for you. I have to go back to New York. And the last two days, you avoided me. It really hurt" I said. It was the truth but didn't come out as convincing as I had thought.
"I'm so sorry, Annie. I really enjoyed the time with you. I really want to spend more time with you before I go back to Korea. I will arrange your flight back if you come with me. Everything will be taken care of. "
Before I can say anything more, he kissed me, and I felt his tongue slowly wrapping mine.
"Follow your heart. If you change your mind, come to my hotel and find me in the lobby at 9 am. I have to go."
His secretary showed up and gestured to his watch and just like that he left. I was so confused. I waited two days for him to call me and just like that, he was playing with my heart again. Seemed like all I did was wait. Is this what rich people do?
I thought about what I should do all night. I couldn't sleep. Finally, I decided I will swallow my pride and show up but 15 minutes late.
