Beacon Of Light Part Two

His unmoving figure worried him as he didn't get a response from his friend. Baekhyun's breathing was shallow and shaky. Xiumin who was second to arrive noticed how panic Lay's voice really was.

As far as Lay could see he wasn't physically hurt. Or that's what seemed anyway. "Baekhyun's not physically hurt as far as I can see. But something is definitely wrong". Lay said deep in thought. He gave Baekhyun a gentle shake, but earned no response. "We need to get him out of here. Something happened and we don't need to be caught in the crossfire". Lay said glancing at his friends, blinded by the flashlights.

Kai glanced around the flashlight shining on the ground not noticing anything out of the ordinary. But he did sense that something was off. The air sent off a negative change the hairs on his body standing up. Something was coming and being there much longer wasn't a good idea. "Guys, there's something coming. We need to move quickly". Kai said looking around to see if he could see anything. But the light given off the flashlight only went so far.

"What do you think is after us?" D.O asked breaking the silence. All of them looked around feeling uneasy. "I don't know but whatever it is it isn't fully human. And my guess is that it went after Baekhyun.  But we won't know for sure until he wakes up. In the meantime we need to get to moving, it's getting closer". Kai said looking around the dark shadows.

"Kai, you teleport Baekhyun back to the compound while we scope this place out. Lay you go along with them to keep Baek safe. We'll look around this place and see what's going on. Keep your watch in handy so we can all communicate. Remember the dots represent your powers and at all times make sure it doesn't fade. Now go Baekhyun isn't safe here". Suho said shoving Lay towards Kai. Kai nodded slowly picking up Baekhyun. "Stay safe and if you need us I can come back while Lay can stay with Baekhyun". Kai said glancing at their leader.

Suho nodded before speaking. "Okay, now go. We don't know who we're dealing with. Stay safe and remember don't answer the door to anyone unless you know it's us". Suho said his tone serious. Kai and Lay nodded before they disappeared in a cloud of black smoke.

Both Lay and Kai stand by Baekhyun watching him closely, the flashlight the only source of given light in the abandoned house. "Shouldn't the power in the city be back on by now? Baekhyun must have really took the power out when using his power". Kai said while looking out on the city. Lay was silent thinking of what could have possibly happened. "It should be on soon. But the any given light we'll have is by moonlight or flashlights until sunrise. Until then we're gonna be plunged in darkness. What do you think happened to Baekhyun?" Lay asked turning his attention to Kai who was pacing.

Kai stopped pacing before glancing towards Baekhyun and Lay. "I don't know. But I did sense that there was something watching us. Whatever it was it was unseen and possibly went after Baek. But something was off which we'll need to look out for". Kai said glancing at Baekhyun.

The house was oddly quiet despite the situation going on. Baekhyun had yet to wake up and the others haven't arrived or made contact. Worry and tension hung in the air as silence grew thicker. "The others haven't made contact yet which worries me that something may have happened. If someone sees us use our powers then we'll have to cover our tracks and move to a more remote area. Will you be okay while I go search for- "Hey, calm down. We're safe, they aren't chasing after us now". D.O said reassuring them.

Both Kai and Lay look towards the door when they hear voices. The door bursts open to reveal Chanyeol limping holding his leg while Suho is as pale as a ghost. "What happened?". Kai asked observing his friend's state. D.O helped Chanyeol sit down on a chair before speaking. "After you left we got ambushed by The Red Force their was at least seven of them. A few of us were able to hold them off but the others were stronger than us in combat. We're not safe here. We need to keep moving and lose them. For now we are but not for long. We were able to lose them, but their senses are strong so they will be able to point us out". D.O's voice held an emotion they haven't heard much of.

"Gather your things we need to move. They will be here in no time and if we're caught we won't be able to hold them back. We're weakened from the fight and we'll lose if we decide to fight. Right now running to safety is better. But first before we leave Chanyeol needs healed. The Red Force hurt his weak knee". Suho said a little out of breath.

"Wait why didn't you contact me I could have teleported you to safety. And how did the Red Force find us? We've been careful enough to hide our identity. How is all this possible and what do they want with Baekhyun?" Kai asked. Everyone was silent not saying a word as they all glanced towards Baekhyun.

"Someone needed to keep Baekhyun safe and no one else needed to get hurt. And yes while we have been careful in hiding who we are the Red Force must have been trailing us for a long time before finally making a move. But as for why Baekhyun is injured I have no clue or as to why the Red Force harmed him. But one thing is for sure we need to stick together and stick close. The next few days are gonna be us traveling. We need to keep an eye on each other but right now we need to pack and get to moving. They won't stop at anything until we're found". Suho said grabbing his jacket.

"What about Baekhyun he needs rest and packing him around won't be easy. I haven't figured out what's wrong him or was able to heal him. And where are we going to go?". Lay asked expressing his worries.

"There's an abandoned cabin a few hours away do north. I discovered it one day while teleporting to the wrong place. If we hurry we can outrun the Red Force. We'll need to lie low in the forest for a while to make sure they aren't trailing us. Right now one of us is vulnerable so we need to all protect Baekhyun. We need to leave as soon as possible". Kai said while glancing at Baekhyun who had yet to wake up.
