I closed my eyes and looked directly at the woman whom I considered as my cousin.

" Candice, can you please leave the room" Untag ko sa walang emosyon kong boses.

My cousin then immediately exited the room. She run as fast as she could as if I will murder her right at the spot.

Nakatingin ako kay Pierce na mabilis na nagdamit at lumapit sa gawi ko. My face was void of emotions.

I looked directly at his face and asked him a question I badly wanted to know.

" Kailan pa 'to Pierce?" I asked him. Yumuko siya at sinubukang kahawakan ang aking bewang.

" You do not touch me with that hand you just used to touch the woman you just bedded, Pierce" I said. He automatically insisted.

" Ngayon lang Pia" He answered.

I looked at him straight in the eyes as I let my tears escaped. He saw it. He combed his messy hair using his fingers and hugged me tight.

Humikbi ako sa dibdib niya. That was the first time that I felt helpless.

" Ang sakit Pierce" I whispered to him.

" You never told me you had feelings for my cousin. You should have told me so that I could have let you go before you cheat on me, Pierce" Wika ko sa kanya. Wala siyang ibang ginawa kundi ang yakapin ako. Ramdam ko ang bilis ng kanyang paghinga na kasabay ng bilis ng pagpintig ng kanyang puso.

Kumalas ako sa pagkakayakap ko sa kanya at tumingin muli ng diretso sa kanyang mga mata.

" Don't look at me that way Pierce. Love is not all about sex. Me not giving you the sex for quite sometime doesn't give you the license to find for another woman to have it with. You already understand the actions you did Pierce. And it pains me a lot to see you have it with another woman." I breathed deep, I cried.

" Ang sakit Pierce" I clutched into my chest before crying hard infront of him.

" And I cannot contain the pain that I have now" I looked at him.

Nagulat na lamang ako ng lumuhod na siya sa harapan ko. Tiningala niya ako. His eyes were already teary.

He is crying.

" I'm sorry" He whispered.

Tumingin ako sa kanya ng diretso. I cupped his cheeks. I knelt to level myself on him.

" I'm sorry, Pierce" I cried. Those words I told him was a million words for me.

I'm sorry because I am hurting

I'm sorry because I cannot take it

It's too painful

Malamig na ang gabi. But behind the shadows of the night is someone I've always thought about.

My phone rang. It was Savier.

I immediately answered him. Baka kase emergency.

" Savier" I called his name.

" Pia, Captain is fucking going ballistic here. Hindi na namin maawat" Savier said. I closed my eyes as I spoke to him.

" You called the wrong woman, Savier." I said. Rinig ko sa kabilang linya ay pagkabasag ng parang mga bote.

" Captain tangina itigil mo na iyan!" Rinig kong wika ni Tyrone aa kabilang linya.

" I know, we don't know anyone to call aside from you Pia. There's no other woman to call. Camille cannot handle him" Savier said. I breathed in.

" No. I am not going there. He doesn't need me. I'm sorry" I said before I ended the call

Savier

" She isn't coming" I directly told Captain. He slouched himself on the couch and drank the whole bottle of beer.

This is suicide.

Nagpapakamatay na si Captain sa alak. Tahimik siyang tumayo at dumiretso sa veranda. He was looking at sky as if he is already ready to be eaten alive by it.

He can't even walk well already. His hair is messy. His eyes were on shades of gray.

We lost the game. And I already know the reason.

It all just started with one mistake. And it was a mistake that is accounted as something grave.

Looking on how lifeless he is. Seeing how he turned to be someone I already don't know who makes me realize the importance of a woman whom he considers his life.

The woman he hurted.

Has always been the woman behind his reason to live.

He opened his tenth bottle of beer and continued drinking.

This is the reality of what is happening. This is what they don't know. Because this is the struggle of a team's captain who failed in the game of love.
